The The Estate Manager carries out the wishes of the owner at multiple homes and locations. This role is responsible for all operational management ensuring highest level of service and operations. This will include Standard-Setting and Houseful Procedures, Staffing, Vendor and Contract Negotiation, Property and Systems Management, Budget Preparation and Implementation, as well as Safety and Security. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and supervises estate staff and house managers.

Education, training, experience:

• Bachelors degree in business related discipline preferred
• Minimum two years of hospitality related events planning and operational experience
• Highest level of personal service experience with private families and/or individuals
• Well-educated in luxury items such as fine art and antiques
• Proper social etiquette and cultural knowledge
• Acute business skills in the areas of finance, computers, planning and organization
• Human Resources management
• Independent and team project management
• Creative and intuitive thinking and problem-solving
• Very resourceful
• Extremely well-traveled
• Up-to-date on applicable technologies and global communications
• Negotiating skills
• Often multilingual
• Service training for private and/or hotel environments
• Knowledge of food and beverage operation and service delivery
• Strong prioritization, organization, multitasking and analytical skills
• Excellent customer service skills (telephone and in person)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as well as opening closing and securing event venues as required
• Ability to maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving modeling, and communicating in an effective manner with clients, customers, coworkers and management
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Follow safety policies and procedures for department as well as winery safety protocols
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
