Becoming a new parent is hard! Just when you think you have “life” down, along comes this brand new thing to figure out. And this thing is very cute so you want to take good care of it. Babytalk LA provides a supportive and fun environment where new parents learn about taking care of their babies, and also build life-long friendships with other parents who have babies close to the same age. An informed and experienced mom facilitates each group, and experts are brought in to present on important topics such as infant care, sleep, nutrition, preschool and other early parenting issues. This is a unique model that combines the best of both worlds for new parents–the chance to hear directly from experts in the field AND the opportunity to bond with other parents over similar issues. There are programs for pregnant moms, first time moms with infants or toddlers, and 2nd time moms. Founder Vanessa Karubian Saxe started Babytalk LA when she realized there was nothing like this being offered to new parents east of the 405. Now taking applicants for the Spring (starts week of March 5th) and Summer sessions.
