We are looking for a kind and gentle person to be the right hand person to an older gentleman and his wife in Santa Monica. We are looking for someone who is steady,responsive, and resourceful.

The husband has been taking care of everything and he could use some help with some daily routines – and keeping him and his wife on track. You will work on keeping a weekly calendar in check, making sure all appointments, family events birthdays and bill due dates are met. You will make sure prescriptions are regularly filled and set reminders for the clients so they don’t miss anything. The assistant will need to be comfortable with computer skills.

Responsibilities include grocery shopping and preparing healthy lunches and dinners for the couple. There is some light housekeeping and you will run errands when needed: dry cleaning, picking up prescriptions, etc.

The perfect caregiver must be organized and self directing and be an excellent communicator! You will get to know all the vendors the houses need and If something in the house needs fixing, you will be responsible for this being done. A flexible person who has compassion and patience will go a long way. The wife has some dementia and will benefit greatly from someone who understands this and the progression that may be to come. This is a long term position for a nurturing person with at least 3-5 years of experience working in a private home, in a similar role.

The family is looking for a hands off caregiver …. someone who is around to help with driving to doctor appointments, light cleaning, light cooking etc. Please reach out if you are interested.
