Generous San Francisco Family is looking for a private chef with at least 5 years of experience working in a private home. We are looking for a Chef with a good handle on nutrition and an interest in expanding the family’s palette. Family likes to eat simply — all fresh healthy food (organic meats, fish and vegan dishes).
The typical schedule is to arrive mid-morning to prep for lunch and dinner, serve lunch and dinner, prep other foods for the week, and clean up afterwards. Because there are children in the house we would love someone who will make lunches and healthy snacks, leave fresh, healthy breakfast items, make homemade nut milks and juices.
Personal qualities we are looking for is someone who will honor privacy and be impeccably neat, clean, and orderly, timely, highly organized, positive energy, loves kids and willing and able to travel with the family to vacation homes closeby (up to 2 months).
Knowledge of vegan and Asian cuisine, Paleo, gluten-free, low saturated fat, children’s recipes and other healthy options, Create and explore new cuisines, Plan and prepare menu and food for parties/holiday meals/ luncheons/special functions and other social events, Clean out pantry and refrigerator on a regular basis, Stock/ organize/clean kitchens and cooking utensils, Purchase kitchen supplies and equipment, Inventory of kitchen equipment. A non negotiable is that you must be flexible for Occasional travel to principal’s vacation homes to provide meal preparation at those locations.
Pay is DOE $90k
Hours are Monday through Friday 11 to 7 with the flexibility to come early or stay late or help with events – as the occasion calls for.
