This is an exciting position for a dynamic, quick, smart, down-to-earth assistant who is extremely organized. We are looking for someone that is proactive and not reactive; to make sure problems do not come up. This position requires someone with wonderful communication skills as well as a good sense of discretion.
He does a lot of talks about entrepreneurship and law and bankruptcy. He is so smart, and is the President of one of the most prestigious associations with other CEOs in Los Angeles. Power point and excel are extremely important.
There are events and dinner parties, so it would be wonderful if you have an eye for design with flowers and decorations. If you have experience in finance, hospitality and event planning, you could be the perfect candidate. While this is very focused on all of his business, you will also liaise with his wife and home. Coordination of all of the events will be part of your responsibilities.
Calendar skills are a must. He uses Google calendar and all of the Apple products. Please also be a Microsoft wizard and be able to operate a MAC in your sleep. While we are not expecting you to be able to code a program, it would be wonderful if you are tech savvy and can troubleshoot.
You will be keeping him in the loop about all of the good restaurants he should be clients to and have a pulse on new travel hot spots.
As you are the main gatekeeper to your boss, you must have great skills in prioritizing as well as knowing when you are able to handle issues on your own. Your boss’ world is vast and you will work with his whole team including constant contact with his accountant of 14 years. You could possibly get an email early in the morning or late at night. You are on call for him, although he tries to be respectful.
