We are seeking a full-time, non–live-in Household Assistant to help maintain a calm, orderly, and well-managed home, with a strong preference for someone who has meaningful experience with Japanese cuisine, culture, and organizational philosophy. This role blends simple meal preparation, home organization, and wardrobe care, including sourcing high-quality ingredients from Japanese grocery stores, preparing light Japanese-inspired breakfasts and occasional dinners, and creating a household environment that reflects the clarity, thoughtfulness, and serenity associated with Japanese hospitality practices. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clutter-free, minimalist home, organizing storage and living spaces, managing daily laundry, and coordinating dry-cleaning needs. The ideal candidate brings a peaceful presence, exceptional attention to detail, and familiarity with organizational approaches such as those inspired by Marie Kondo, along with reliability, discretion, and the ability to anticipate household needs independently. This is a salaried position with flexible hours—some days may require early starts or later finishes, while weeks when the family is traveling may be lighter. A confidentiality agreement is required, and compensation will be competitive based on experience. You must have experience with Japanese cooking, home organization, and related cultural practices.
