Caregiver needed in beautiful Menlo Park

Loveliest client seeking an experienced, warm, and engaging caregiver companion for her husband, an absolutely darling gentleman with vascular dementia living in Menlo Park. He is physically very healthy, active, and happiest when stimulated through conversation, walks, games, and meaningful companionship rather than television. A former CEO who has lived a full and adventurous life, he remains happy, social, and enjoys connection, activity, and conversation. They are looking for someone cheerful, emotionally intuitive, patient, and experienced with dementia care — someone who brings positive energy, and truly enjoys connecting with people. The role is focused entirely on his well being, engagement, dignity, and happiness. The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 11am–9pm with a minimum of 8-hour shifts. Responsibilities include companionship, helping with breakfast and lunch, assistance with showering, walks, light activities such as matching cards or conversation, and supporting a healthy daily routine. No housekeeping, laundry, or heavy cooking is required, they already have cleaning help and they prepare their meals. They would love someone reliable, emotionally mature, and uplifting who understands that dementia comes with both good days and difficult days. Compensation is $55 hour plus benefits, along with the opportunity to work with a warm family who will truly treat you as part of their own.
