Job Position: Full-Time Caretaker (Live-In)

Location: Ojai Valley, California

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, outgoing, and highly organized individual to serve as a full-time caretaker for a lively 76-year-old individual residing in the picturesque Ojai Valley. While our client is fully functional and maintains a high level of independence, they require assistance with various day-to-day activities and errands to ensure a fulfilling, well-rounded life. This position involves ensuring the client’s overall well-being including facilitating social interactions, encouraging physical activity, and maintaining a balanced diet.

Key Responsibilities:


– Be a strong and patient companion (Be there and be there for them. But also know when to give them their space)

Personal Assistance

– Driving the client to various appointments, engagements, and social outings, including weekly trips to Los Angeles.
– Assist in managing and organizing the client’s calendar, ensuring a balance of social, familial, and personal engagements.

Household Management

– Manage household staff
– Conduct grocery shopping and meal preparation, focusing on a nutritious and balanced diet.
– Coordinate with vendors for household maintenance and other services as needed.
– Ensure the home environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
– Social Life Enrichment
– Facilitate regular visits with grandchildren and coordinate social activities to foster strong familial bonds.
– Assist in planning and organizing social outings, engagements, and gatherings to maintain a vibrant social life.

Health to Wellness Support

– Encourage and facilitate regular exercise routines, including walks, fitness classes, or other preferred activities.
– Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage health appointments and wellness check-ups as needed.
– Communicate regularly with the individual’s children to give updates on their well-being and health.


– Provide safe and reliable transportation for weekly trips between Ojai and Los Angeles.
Assist with errands such as grocery shopping, pharmacy visits, and other local errands.


– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
– Previous experience in personal care or assisted living settings preferred.
– Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the client’s privacy.
– First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
– Background check will be conducted.
