Family Assistant House Manager needed for busy family in Bel Air

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Assistant to join our team and ensure the highest level of service and efficiency.
Job Description: The Family Assistant will primarily provide personalized support to the family, manage children’s schedules and household calendar, and handle various tasks to ensure the household runs smoothly. This role requires a versatile individual who can multitask, prioritize, and anticipate the needs of the family.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Household Management:
○ Oversee and manage all household operations and organizational systems, reordering and filling
from backstock as needed, including kitchen, closets, garage, office, and children’s play areas.
Must love organizing.
○ Ensure the home is always guest-ready, greeting visitors and facilitating their needs and directions
upon arrival.
○ Receive and unpack incoming packages and mail and handle all returns for the household.
○ Create and maintain household manual
2. Administrative Support:
○ Manage household and children’s schedules and calendars, including doctor appointments,
classes, playdates, and events, and disseminate information to staff and family.
○ Handle correspondence, phone calls, and emails in a professional manner on behalf of the family.
○ Maintain records of household expenses, budgets, and inventory, auditing supplies list to automate
delivery where possible.
3. Personal Assistance:
○ Provide personalized assistance to family members, including running errands, shopping, facilitating meals, packing, organizing, driving, and other tasks as needed.
○ Procure and assemble gifts during holidays, for children’s birthdays, and other occasions.
○ Assist with children’s activities, school schedules, and transportation.
○ Plan or serve as point person with the event coordinators for family events, gatherings, and social
engagements.
4. Vendor and Contractor Management:
○ Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and high-quality service.
○ Obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and oversee projects and repairs.
○ Coordinate with and support household staff, including housekeepers, nannies, and other
third-party vendors such as tree gardeners, indoor tree maintenance, a car wash team, a
handyman, an electrician, plumbers, and in-house beauty and wellness practitioners.
5. Pet Care:
○ Assist with caring for and maintaining family pets (2 cats), including occasional feeding and the booking and management of grooming and veterinary appointments.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience as a Family Assistant, House Manager, or in a similar role within a high-profile household.
● Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
