Full-time Expected to be on property 8a – 5p

Job Summary:
A Hands-on and versatile Estate Manager needed to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and small staff for an Estate in Malibu. Estate consists of Main House and two other guest houses. This position will require weekends and holidays as needed. Reporting to the Chief of Operations.
Responsibilities:
• Hands on skills. Covering and uncovering pool furniture, removing umbrellas, cleaning of all outdoor furniture is required.
• Able to perform basic handyman duties and can roll up sleeves as needed.
• Oversee and assist housekeeping with larger projects if required.
• Manage external vendors, pool cleaners, pest control, landscapers.
• Familiar with HVAC systems and keeping detailed logs of filter changes and maintenance logs.
• Required knowledge of filtration systems, Irrigation zones, boiler systems, pool equipment.
• Assist with setting up for small events, running errands and able to pitch in where needed even if outside the job scope.
• Knowledge of California fire emergency evacuation protocols and managing homes in High Fire danger areas.
• Knowledge of Control 4 Systems, lighting and AV.
• Knowledge of septic systems and tree root intrusion management, hydro jetting of lines and able to recognize issue beforehand.
• Create and update Estate to Household manuals, inventories, and monthly maintenance calendars.
• Ensure property is always in a state of readiness for family visits.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Coordinate and supervise repairs, renovations, and other property improvements.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation related to property management.
• Adept at report writing with pictures. Weekly reports to the Chief of Operations is mandatory.
Qualifications and Personal Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record of managing high-end residential properties with a small staff.
• Identify the developmental needs of others and coach, mentor, or otherwise help employees improve their knowledge and skills.
• A self-driven individual who can work independently, taking ownership of your workload and reacting with appropriate urgency to frequently changing priorities.
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Fluent in Outlook on a Mac platform.
• Fluent in household smart systems (Control4).
• Ability to pass extensive background check.
• Ability to work legally in the U.S.
