Amazing client needs a wonderful Handyman to help manage this historic and gorgeous property. We are looking for a candidate with a great Houseman background!
This person needs to be a handy person, who can handle cleaning up the property, covers the outdoor furniture at night before going home, fixes things around the house, hanging artwork, caulking, seals up windows, fix doors, paint touch ups, etc. Positive, communicative and team-oriented personality needed.
You will work an 8-hour day Monday-Friday. Overtime payment if you are needed to work on a weekend if there is an urgent event.
There is always something to repair on this property as the home is 101 years old this year.
Following daily and weekly/monthly/annual to-do list: restarting cable boxes, caring for chickens on property, removing cobwebs, cleaning wine cellar, moving furniture/boxes, figuring out why Apple TV doesn’t work, dealing with the fridge making weird noise, washing exterior windows, car washing, dusting off outdoor furniture, testing appliances, be main-point person for the troubleshooting property lighting and irrigation, water heater in guest house is leaking, replace light fixtures, trips to Hardware stores and Animal feed store, cleaning rain gutters, re-staining front door, etc.
On top of troubleshooting/fixing general things that come up. Someone that can maintain positive communication and report to the house manager but also take their own initiative. Additional occasional travel to and handyman/groundskeeping for the second property in Oxnard.
It would be the Houseman’s responsibility to update and alert house manager of more in-depth repairs or projects for both properties
Salary $35-40 an hour + Benefits.
The person must be vaccinated for Covid, fluent in English, have a clear background – huge plus if you are Bilingual in Spanish and own a Truck/SUV Vehicle preferred.
