This family is so much fun and would love to hire a chef that would love the experience to live in Singapore, New York and the world.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Client:
• Family living abroad, summers in NY
• 3 children, 1 dog
• Travels often
• Dietary and allergy requirements
• Discretion and privacy required

Pay:
• 4 weeks paid vacation
• health/dental insurance
• on average 30-45 hours per week (Sunday–Friday)
• housing provided, dependent on location either live-in or live-out

Position:
• Full time live-in chef who is able to travel with the family.
• Position during school year is abroad, summer is in the Hamptons
• Responsibilities include:
o Shop for groceries, markets and online
o Fresh pantry items, organized and stocked
o Prepare and serve dinner for children Monday–Friday
o 4–8X a month prepare and serve home lunch/dinner parties for 6–12 persons
o Communicate/written form the menu for meals to be reviewed by employer
o Run household errands day-to-day as needed (drop-offs, returns, pick-ups, etc.)
o Schedule will be determined around family’s travel/needs
o Serving of food/drink, setting table, complete kitchen clean up
o Cleanliness and ownership of the kitchen area
o Occassional kitchen laundry
o Daily clean chef jacket
o Detailed grocery, travel, and expense reports
o Interaction with service and home industry: e.g. I.T., television/cable, phone, FedEx/DHL
• Positive can-do attitude, good attention to detail
• Anticipate needs, food likes/ dislikes of employers and guests
• Open to direct feedback regarding meals, service and environment
• Ability to handle both intense periods of time with guests and light periods

Chef:
• Local ingredient-driven produce/organic grass-fed/anti-hormone food, visually appetizing/plated meals, delicious and varied flavors
• Well read and versed in food diet, terminology, styles, such as: ketogenic, macrobiotic, intermittent fasting, whole/clean food, anti-inflammatory, GAPS, paleo, DASH, fermentation, acid/alkaline, GERD, FODMAP
• Knowledge and keen interest in nutrition and food science
• Up-to-date with current food trends
• Personal focus on health and fitness as a permanent lifestyle

Required:
• Experience working for private families, live-in, and with additional staff team members
• Comfortable working around pets and children
• No criminal background
• U.S. work authorization
• Formal Training at an accredited culinary institute
• Minimum 3 years commercial experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Unquestionable integrity
• Unwavering confidentiality, must sign a NDA
• Discretion is a must
• Non-smoker
• High level of personal hygiene and cleanliness
• Impeccable references, longevity in previous positions
• 2 personal references, 2 business references
• Photo, list of hobbies and interests, locations of previous work/live
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Full background check is required

Compensation/Salary:
• Salary is commensurate with experience
