This dynamic bi-coastal family splits their time between Atherton and the East Coast, spending December through May in California and the summer season (mid-June to mid-September) in the Hamptons — their peak entertaining period. With an established culinary team that includes two sous chefs, a breakfast chef, and a Head Chef in New York, they’re seeking a seasoned, senior-level Chef to partner closely with their Director of Culinary and bring leadership, creativity, and harmony to the kitchen. The role involves preparing refined family-style meals and intimate dinner parties (8–10 guests monthly), with a strong emphasis on French and Japanese cuisine — especially sushi. Travel to the East Coast is expected 2–4 weeks per quarter, and the schedule offers flexibility throughout the year with rolling days off. The ideal candidate is local, experienced in private estates, and thrives in a cohesive, respectful team culture. Compensation is $150,000 plus bonus, full benefits, and a 401(k).
