Property Operations to Construction Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Travel: Approximately 1 day week to San Francisco
Compensation: $250,000k DOE, plus benefits

Overview
A private family office is seeking an experienced, highly discreet Property Operations to Construction Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations, vendors, contractors, and construction projects for private properties in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The role is primarily based in Los Angeles, with a major focus on a historic private compound consisting of five actively used buildings. The position will also oversee an office and private apartment in San Francisco, primarily remotely with regular on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all maintenance, repairs, upkeep, and operational readiness of the Los Angeles compound.
• Manage all major property systems, including HVAC, plumbing, pool, wine cellar, and other mechanical building systems.
• Oversee extensive landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Manage all contractors and vendors, including landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, pool, and specialty trades.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Serve as Owner’s Representative for construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
• Partner with the Family Office Construction to Development team to manage budgets, timelines, scopes, contractors, and project execution.
• Monitor projects to ensure they remain on budget, on schedule, and to the required quality.
• Manage the San Francisco property, ensuring the office and upstairs apartment are maintained and ready for the principal’s use.
• Prepare budgets, track expenses, review invoices, and provide regular updates to the manager overseeing the properties.
• Proactively identify issues and ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards.

Qualifications
• Significant experience managing private estates, luxury properties, family office properties, or complex facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Proven experience managing contractors and vendors.
• Construction renovation project management or owner’s representative experience required.
• Experience with historic properties and older building systems is highly desirable.
• Highly organized, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
• Exceptional discretion, judgment, communication, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
