Rockstar Family Assistant Needed for Wonderful Manhattan Beach Family

Okay — this is a great one!

We are working with a wonderful family in Manhattan Beach seeking a true Family Assistant who can become an extension of the parents and help keep their busy household running smoothly.

Both parents work. Dad works in an office, and Mom is in the process of launching a start-up. They have three children, ages 15, 13, and 11. Their oldest is currently away at boarding school on the East Coast. They also have two small dogs.

This is an active household! The kids are sporty, involved in after-school activities, have homework, friends, and full schedules. The parents are looking for someone who can step in as an extra set of hands — someone with a high EQ who understands how to anticipate needs, provide support, and help the family stay organized and on track.

We are looking for the ultimate former teacher, camp counselor type — someone who is relatable and engaging with tweens and teens but mature enough to provide structure, accountability, and guidance. Someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a family’s life and wants to help things run seamlessly.

This is a hybrid role that will primarily be Monday through Friday, approximately noon to 8:00 p.m. Fridays may start and end earlier.

Mondays are focused on setting the family up for a successful week ahead. This means ensuring the home is stocked and organized, groceries are handled, and everyone is ready to go. The family maintains a helpful checklist, so organization and follow-through are key.

Healthy food in the home is important. Meal prep or cooking is a wonderful plus, but you do not need to be a professional cook. If you enjoy cooking, we’d love to know your comfort level. If cooking isn’t your strength, that’s okay too! Just be sure to let us know your comfort level when you respond.

During the school day, responsibilities will include overseeing landscapers and third-party vendors, coordinating with the home’s builder on deferred and preventative maintenance, and helping manage household logistics.

When Mom and Dad return home, they want to know the kids have been cared for, homework is completed, the home is organized, and everyone is prepared for the next day.

This is a payroll position with paid time off and a health insurance stipend.

We are looking for someone who:
• Lives in or near the South Bay
• Has a clean driving record
• Has excellent references
• Has experience with school-aged children
• Has household management or family assistant experience
• Understands private service and takes pride in being truly invested in the families they support

The children attend two different schools, so this role includes calendaring, travel coordination, logistical support, transportation, and helping manage the many moving parts of a busy family.
