Santa Monica Family Seeks Camp Counselor Style Nanny

A wonderful Santa Monica family is looking for a fun-loving, hands-on, playful nanny to join their crew! Mom is a busy, warm stay-at-home parent to two darling, energetic children: a curious 3.5-year-old and a sweet 16-month-old, and she’s hoping to find a true partner-in-parenting and all-around playmate for the kids.

This is not a sit-on-the-sidelines role. This job is about getting down on the floor, jumping into imaginative play, crafting, baking, reading stacks of books, and making each day feel like camp.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm and each day is a little different in the best way! Some days you will be with the older child while Mom is with the toddler and other days, you’ll switch it up! Duties include pre-school drop-offs and pick-ups, crafts, baking projects, outdoor adventures, nap routines and lots and lots of hands-on play!

The ideal Nanny is college educated, has a clean driving record, excellent references and truly loves playing, reading and engaging children. A background as a preschool teacher would be a huge plus! Hopefully you are open to traveling 2-3 times a year for up to a week.

Compensation is $35 hour, DOE plus a $200 month health insurance stipend and paid time off.
