Westport home needs a wonderful houseman to assist the estate manager

Our wonderful client in Westport client is looking for someone that understands handy work, outdoor cleaning and maintenance according to the change in weather They would love someone with a can do attitude, willing to do anything from washing the cars to handling the dogs, to walking the property daily to make sure everything is working. if you have construction background or have been a house man or handyman, this could be a wonderful position for you.
if there is an event, or the principal is traveling, you might need to help out.

Job Description: House Assistant
SUMMARY
The House Assistant assists Owner and Estate Manager with aspects related to maintaining house and managing family needs. Full time. M-F: 8:30 am – 6 pm. On call as needed.
Responsibilities
Daily:
Walk property daily. Note and fix any issues.
Replace any lightbulbs that need changing
Make sure cars are charged
Take out trash from kitchen and replace with fresh garbage bags as often as needed Keep exterior trash area clean –
Take out/bring in bins on trash day.
Keep trash cans/area clean, smelling good. Separate recycling
Keep patio/outdoor furniture and all outdoor areas clean/swept/hosed down. Cover/uncover outdoor furniture and keep clean as needed
Keep garage and tool areas clean and organized
Keep basement storage areas clean and organized
Homesteading:
Pick vegetables with girls
Collect chickens eggs with girls Pets:
Assume major care for any pets. Includes feeding, walking, cleaning up after, bathing dogs.
Walk dogs on one long walk daily
Keep pet closet organized and stocked Transport dogs to/from day care as needed Supervise/Teach the girls with the pets.
Assume all care of chickens – feed and clean out chicken coop. Keep chicken needs stocked.
Check daily to see if any errands need to be run
Mail & Packages:
Bring in any packages -Open packages, log in packages, break down and remove boxes
Retrieve mail from both street mailbox and from PO Box (when PO Box is acquired)
Retrieve mail from my other properties: 4 Fraser Lane and from 299 North
Avenue
Navigate heavy items, packages, luggage and items up/down stairs
Baby sit kids if needed
Help keep house in order — do not leave untidy spaces (there is a housekeeper but
still…)
Weekly:
Wash cars and vacuum out insides of cars. Throw away any trash. Make sure Sienna has gas
Keep compost running smoothy
Clean dog crates
Drop off/pick up dry-cleaning
Handle all shipping-related tasks
Make returns as needed
Wash out insides of trash bins
Weekly pick ups of Farmer’s Market item orders
Water indoor plants, replace indoor plants, buy fresh plant/floral arrangements for home on a regular basis.

AS NEEDED:
Track when all permits need to be renewed (registration, tags, parking permits). Shovel/salt walkways for safety after snowfall
Transport animals to vet
Help out with vegetable garden
Perform basic handyman tasks.
Keep backstock filled. Backstock is toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, paper plates, baggies, etc.
Keep firewood stocked
Keep outdoor grill needs filled (propane?).
Recharge batteries on any and all security cameras.
Refill all soap dispensers
Bathe dogs
Continue to help with the unboxing/unpacking process
