A warm and welcoming family of four is looking for a talented private chef to join their household three days a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

This will be an eight-hour day that includes preparing a healthy lunch for Mom, delicious snacks for the children, and dinner for the entire family. They love fresh, healthy Mediterranean-inspired food and are looking for a chef who can create beautiful, flavorful meals that everyone will enjoy.

The family also loves to entertain, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable preparing meals for dinner parties and special occasions. They are looking for someone creative, organized, flexible, and happy to collaborate on menus.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing lunch for Mom
Making healthy, child-friendly snacks
Preparing dinner for the family
Menu planning and grocery shopping
Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
Cooking for guests and dinner parties as needed
Accommodating dietary preferences and requests

The ideal candidate will have excellent private-home references, a strong knowledge of healthy Mediterranean cuisine, and a warm, professional demeanor. This is a wonderful opportunity for a chef who enjoys becoming part of a lovely household and making family meals feel special.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday—eight hours per day
Salary is completely DOE but hourly with overtime
guarantee of weekly salary whether they travel or not
They do have a home in Malibu so you might be asked to cook there!

Private Yacht Chef – Exciting Long Weekend Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced private chef to work aboard a luxury yacht serving one principal. This has the potential to become a regular, highly compensated role for the right candidate.
The weekend begins on Thursday at Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, where you’ll be responsible for provisioning, meal planning, and sourcing the highest-quality ingredients. Strong knowledge of the Malibu, Oxnard, and Santa Barbara areas is essential, along with established local resources.
The principal follows a clean, healthy, keto-based diet, and you should be comfortable creating exceptional meals that reflect those preferences.
Schedule:
Thursday: Provisioning, sourcing, and meal prep
Friday: Lunch and dinner
Saturday to Sunday: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
While there is only one principal aboard, he often entertains up to 8 guests over the weekend. In addition, you’ll prepare meals for 8 crew members on Saturday and Sunday.
Flexibility is a must, as departure times are often confirmed at the last minute. You should be adaptable, organized, and ready to go when it’s time to set sail.
Previous experience working for high-profile principals is strongly preferred. You should also be confident working in a yacht galley, which requires a different skill set than a traditional residential kitchen.

Busy family with nannies and kids galore are renting a home in Broad Beach for the month of August. They want chef that is used to making family style lunch – a spread…. meaning different choices of salads, sandwiches etc. The kids eat dinner at 5, the adults eat at 7, so be ready for a very tough 10 hour day – four days a week. When the family returns to Brentwood during the school year, the job will solely be for dinner with prepping snacks and lunch for the next day. It will be a typical 8 hour day during the week.
