Lovely Client in La Canada is looking for a great Part Time Chef to help her with meals and also do a cooking class with her once a week. She is open to the other day or two being in her home, or drop off if that is easier for you. She eats BLD plus two snacks a day. Please let us know why you are the best for the job! The ideal candidate has both restaurant and private Chef experience. You must be able and willing to shop for all the food, and drive to the client’s home in La Canada.

We are looking for someone who is:
– experienced (in the kitchen and as a chef for individuals)
– knows a variety of cooking styles and ingredients
– is open to creative recipes that I come up with, and to suggesting new ideas to me
– is a good teacher

She is not currently using:
Grains & flours, gluten
Nightshade vegetables (white potatoes, bell peppers, tomatoes, eggplant)
Dairy (except ghee)
Conventially grown foods (with a few exceptions) and GMO’s (no soy, corn oils or byproducts)
Processed sugar (white, brown) or artificial sweeteners

Foods she is open to trying or that she does currently cook with – this probably qualifies as Paleo: Everything organic, low or unsalted. She salts her own food, to taste.

What she wants to learn:
– how to cook fresh meats and poultry in a variety of ways.
– would like to explore baking, broiling & sauteeing vegetables, since now she generally simmer or steam them.
– Help choose the right tools and equipment for the kitchen.
– The logistics of cooking for more than one person (our client!), selecting & preparing meats/fish/poultry, keeping vegetables fresh, and cooking skills beyond what she’s just picked up or learned as she’s going.

Family chef needed for one month from approximately May 18 – June 18… several days a week. Client’s 14 year old daughter is having surgery and needs someone who can cook healthy clean foods…This is a temp position but for the right person, family would consider making it permanent. Candidate must be vaccinated as they will be in the home handling food as the daughter recuperates.

We are looking for a professional Private Chef to cook dinners Monday through Friday for 2-3 people.

The client is Pesceterian – there is no meat in the home, including no shellfish – everything is organic. The client is formal and you will be doing formal service for three course plated meals each night. The client loves a good martini, so you should be comfortable mixing drinks.

You should know how to set a formal table and do formal service.

Although this is a formal home, it is also a FUN home – they do Pizza Fridays!

You will be responsible for keeping inventory, as well as managing the kitchen. There is an Estate Manager who will collect your receipts and will work with you on Budgets.

Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years full time experience working as a private chef. Experience working in High End restaurants on the Peninsula like Manresa or Village Pub is also ideal!

Schedule is M-F, 2/3p-9p. Appetizers are served at 6p, dinner service starts at 7p.

Busy client is looking for a great Chef, Monday/Wednesday/Friday for lunches (usually just the parents or a business meeting up to 4 people) and dinner for the family (the family is 6, and sometimes an extra guest or two.) They love to eat Mediterranean, Mexican, Thai and very healthy – no shellfish or pork. No pets in the house. Lunch is usually at 1pm and dinner is at 6:30pm.

Family of four people needs a Family Assistant and Cook. Mom and dad work from home and twin boy /girl 8 years old go to school all day. This is a true 50% assistant /
50% cooking position. Family is looking for a true cook and someone who has culinary experience and training. This family would love a gourmet dinner every night.
The job starts at 12 noon when you put on your chef/ cook hat and go to either Whole Foods or Gelsons, or maybe the wine store to get moms list of things she likes, then you go back to the house and stock the fridge and do some meal prep.
Mom likes to always have two salads in the fridge, the kids need lunches for school 5 days a week, and dinner is always something yummy – mom has ideas on the NY times app or you can brainstorm together…. usually the kids eat a more plain version of what the parents eat.
At 330 pm, the kids come home on the bus, and that is when you put on your family assistant hat, mom takes one kid to sports and you take the other kid to drama and you divide and conquer. You may also need to help with spelling and homework and some childcare. You meet back at the house for dinner time where you will prepare dinner. Family pays on the books , two weeks paid vacation, sick days and paid holidays…. General schedule is M-F Hours are 11-7 . Monday – Friday. Hello Chefs! We are looking for a Monday/Wednesday/Saturday Chef for a fabulous client with a gorgeous home in Sherman Oaks. It’s a lunch + dinner 11am to 7pm (ish) job. They typically eat at 6:00pm and are happy to sometimes serve and clean up themselves. The priority here is excellent healthy food, including vegetarian options. Hopefully Chef will leave homemade soups, dressings etc … in the fridge for the off days.
