This Bel Air family is looking for an organic and healthy chef that will also be open to cooking a ‘steak and potatoes’ meal every once in a while. The family would love to find someone who wants to take care of a family and be of service. Menu planning, grocery shopping at local organic markets and kitchen organization are all part of this job. This person could have restaurant experience as well as private chef experience– most important is that you have worked in an environment where service is part of the job. Attitude is important in this fully staffed home. The kitchen is exquisite and recently remodeled. Candidate must be flexible to cook some mornings, majority of meals will be lunches and dinners. Family travels to second home in North Malibu during the summer so you must be flexible to travel and with your schedule. Salary is completely DOE.

Please be comfortable working all different diets and making fresh baby food. The family is in town for a few months from Europe and would love healthy meals while here. Some weeks you will be there every day, others you will prep food for a few days and leave it in the fridge ready to heat up. You will be cooking for the parents, nannies and occasional guests.

They would like if you can be free for them the whole 2 months. It is not likely you will work 7 days in a row but they would like to have that flexibility.

Lovely couple in BH with a stunning and fully staffed home is looking for a very flexible Sous Chef who can work long hours every Wednesday through Sunday. Candidates must work well with others, know formal service and be willing to travel. This job is the perfect break for a young, hungry and talented Chef looking to leave the restaurant world for the world of private service. You’ll work on a large staff under an Executive Chef. The position will be evening cook and some cleaning. Monday – Friday Hours: 1pm to 9pm. The person will cook one meal a day, to be ready at 6:30pm – the evening meal is mainly for the lady of the house (sometimes her daughters, sometimes there will be some dinner parties and some larger parties occasionally. A side note: If the kitchen is cleaned up before 9pm you can often leave but will still be paid the full 8 hours.

The emphasis needs to be on a cook who prepares simple, delicious meals. Nothing fancy, all Gluten free, some vegetarian, some vegan. All fresh. “Home made.” (No purchased salad dressing, no using canned chicken broth, etc.) Fresh soups, salads with fresh salad dressings, fresh vegetables, some protein like fish, Chicken Cutlets, Veggie Burgers. The person will also need to purchase the food for the house.

There is some cleaning – Mainly keeping the kitchen clean, the wooden floors on the main floor of the house clean, light dusting = basic maintenance cleaning. The family has someone to come in once a week to do the “deep cleaning” on the main floor.

She would like a calm person who enjoys cooking and can clean. Someone more on the quiet side (i.e.: not a strong personality.) Kind and willing to help. You do not have to speak perfect English, but to be able to communicate adequately.

The house staff is paid hourly, overtime if over 8 hours, paid vacation ( 1 week the first year, then 2 weeks,) 6 paid sick days a year and health insurance. Starting pay: $30 an hour.

You will be supporting the Head Chef for this busy Producer and working M-F, from 8am-5pm (with the flexibility to work later hours.)

The perfect person is super flexible, service oriented, well versed on food trends and understands discretion when dealing with high profile cliental. You should be able to handle a salad bar and assist in cooking with the head chef and help in placing orders for staff lunch for an entire office. You will work in the home and in the office kitchens.

How about 6-8 weeks in Whitefish, a stunning resort town in the Rocky Mountains of NW Montana?! We have been hired by a fabulous client in need of a travel Chef to cook for a family of 7 . You will cooking three meals a day for this kind and midwestern family at their amazing vacation property 7 days a week for the next 6 weeks. Breakfast will be things like fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt and gluten free pancakes. Lunch can be wraps, soups, salads etc. And dinner can be a protein like chicken and fresh veggies and dessert. The family will fly you to their property and you will do all their shopping, prepping, cooking, serving , and cleaning of the dishes and food. Family will likely do an extended trial first to see if it is a fit. Family pays a flat rate of $8000 for the full 6 weeks.

We have a family in Santa Monica who would love a chef to cook for the family 3 to 4 times per week. You will be cooking for a family of 5 with a few added staff members that may be working. Family prefers two weekday dinners and one Sunday lunch and dinner that may often end up with more people. The family loves high end restaurants so we are looking for that background and training and the ability to do fine dining at home with Asian, French and Italian influences. You must have graduated from a top tier culinary school, and understand the needs of a high profile client. At least 5 years of private chef work. Amazing East Side family with three precious children girls ages 1-10 is looking for a fabulous Chef who can work the following hours: Monday Wednesday & Friday from 1:00pm-6:00pm for a total of 15 hours per week.
