(Staff of nannies, and housekeeper and 2 children) In terms of entertaining; there is a ton of it. If you have restaurant background, that would be great, as you could be cooking for a lot of people. When there are big events, the family will use a catering company that you will be in charge of! The family is habitual, so you will know what is expected from day to day. They eat organic, healthy food – love soup, fish, steaks, etc.

Family of four in Santa Monica is looking for someone who can come in two days a week and leave fresh, healthy, farm to table meals and snacks in the refrigerator.

We have a very important mid-city Chef opening, cooking for a young cancer patient who is on a restricted diet.  The job works from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, M-F, with the possibility of a sixth day each week.  The ideal candidate is a pet-friendly chef or cook who has previous experience working for a client with special food needs.   Applicants should be caring, knowledgeable, and able to make delicious foods despite the various dietary restrictions.  Mom and Dad eat too — so there may be times when all three people are eating different meals.   This family would like their meals to be cooked in their home, so someone local (near Hollywood/Hancock Park) who is both caring and flexible is the ideal.  The Housekeeper does all the food shopping, so the work is strictly cooking.   Pay is in the $50/hour range.  Please reach out if this job sounds like a fit for you.  

This family of 5 is looking for one day a week person to come in and cook the recipes they like. The family has recipes they like, so they would like for you to be open to their recipes, but are completely open to suggestions. They are struggling with what to eat to stay healthy. We would like someone that has an idea of healthy snacks and food that will be good to leave.

This dad is looking for a very healthy specialized chef that is prepared to follow a plan for this gentleman. You will not be cooking any elaborate dinners, no dinner parties – just help him take care of his diet. Smoothies, no dairy, no gluten – We have a binder that you will follow! There are recipes for smoothies and other things, so you have to be open to that! Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 11am-4pm.

Creative Los Feliz client is looking for a “creative” vegan chef to deliver 2 meals a day/ 4 days a week. The family only needs the chef until June 15th. If all works out, they would love to continue the service after the summer. The wife is vegan, and the husband the kids are vegetarian, other then that, there are no food restrictions!

Sunday-Thursday is typically the schedule, they are also open to doing Sunday-Wednesday. You will cook for a busy family who loves to eat healthy! They like to do dinner parties on Tuesdays and do travel in the summer to Aspen, they are hoping you will join them! If not, you would take this 6 weeks per year (spread out) to do you own travels, etc. unpaid.

This is a wonderful place to work and is probably the perfect job for a chef with flexibility in their schedule, loves going to specialty markets to find rare spices and make unique dishes. Please be down-to-earth, kind, patient and warm.

The Dad loves spicy food and is always looking to try new recipes. While he is involved in the menu, he does not micromanage you! The kids are in school during lunchtime so they will only be included for dinner.

Most days are simple lunches for the parents and informal delicious dinners for the family. They do like to entertain so you should be comfortable cooking for 20+ people at times. Please have long term references working in private homes and live close enough that your commute will not put you in a foul mood everyday!

Salary is 70-80k DOE.

Awesome young family in the Palisades is looking for a vegan chef that is adventurous and creative. The kids are not necessarily vegan, but one has celiac, so obviously, be ready to cook a few extra things for the kids (possibly chicken) and enjoy the challenges of cooking with no oil. The schedule is Saturday, Sunday and 3 other days. They are interested in you cooking lunch, dinner, and leaving snacks for the family. They have a 2nd home in Hawaii and would, love for you to come for a couple weeks. They travel with the nanny, but obviously you should be kid friendly ( 3, 6 and 9 )

We are looking for THE BEST head chef to lead a team of four. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who has Executive Chef experience, as well as experience cooking for High Net Worth individuals/families. It is a mixture of responsibilities ranging from management as well as using creativity to create an amazing culinary experience for the family (the family has young children so you should also feel comfortable cooking healthy but simpler meals for kids.)

Typical schedule is M-F, but you should be flexible to work a last minute weekend for a dinner party or event. The family also has homes in Malibu and NYC, so you should be available to travel for up to three weeks at a time.

Salary DOE: $180k +

We are looking for a true professional: please do NOT apply if you do not have at least 5 years experience managing a team in a restaurant setting, as well as experience cooking in private homes. You need to be a leader as well as a team player: you will be the liaison between the JR level chefs and the principal, and will work hand in hand with the Estate Manager.
