The best son and daughter in law want to gift their mother mother in law a wonderful chef to do a cooking class in honor of Mother’s Day! They are hoping the class could be May 17th or 18th, and that the lesson food would be done by dinner time so the parents could enjoy it for dinner. If the week is better we are very available May 12th – May 16th and we could work something out.

They live in Thousand Oaks and are Kosher Vegetarians – they would love a lesson on doing vegetarian Thai: one appetizer and one main course.

We are looking for a chef who can plan the meal, provide all the ingredients (which you’ll be reimbursed for), and bring any necessary equipment to make the meal (noodle pasta maker, pots, etc.). She has pots and pans, of course, but her daughter in law doesn’t want her to stress about whether she has the “right” one.

Local caterer is looking for an assistant chef to help with a casual backyard BBQ event on Saturday, April 19th in West Hills.

• Time: Start at 3:00 PM
• Guests: Approx. 40
• Pay: $50 hour (5-hour minimum)
• Provided: Branded chef coat and apron for the event

Requirements:
• Comfortable working on a Blackstone griddle and open-flame BBQ
• Experience with deep frying
• Able to support head chef and work alongside serving staff

Our client is having surgery on May 1, and is looking for someone 3 x a week to do the grocery shopping hopefully at farmers market, for fresh veggies and salad. They want protein at every meal (not pork or shellfish) and absolutely no cilantro!!!! The house is in the Hollywood Hills, so it would be great if you are near! any 3 days that are separated would work. The patient and her sister love good food, but protein is important for healing. It will start May 5. Healthy and yummy is important, as well as being friendly and fun!

High Profile Client is looking for a FT temporary Chef — We are working with a client in BH who needs a full-time Private Chef. The rough schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 8:00pm but there will be times you will be asked to come early, stay late or come in on a weekend. There’s a large staff in the home and we’re told it’s a super fun positive crew so you should be someone who is happy to work in a bustling environment. Our client does not care for fancy food — she really likes comfort food so this is not a job for someone who wants to be super creative or formal day to day. The husband is a bit more experimental and healthy. You cook for the family (plus occasional friends to guests) and typically make extra for staff. This is a position for a Chef who won’t get frazzled. Plans change a lot so you have to be used to doing nothing for a while only to find out in the late afternoon that six guests are coming for dinner. Remember though — the food is simple! This is a position for a Chef who likes to be on his her toes. Applicants MUST have private estate experience and a culinary degree. Thank you!
