Wonderful, bustling family in Santa Monica with lots of kiddos is looking for a warm and wonderful Jane of all Trades to work M-F from noon-ish until after dinner at around 7/8 pm.  The primarily role is that of the family cook, but you should be willing to also help with the children, and do some house management, and tidying as well.  We need someone who will hit the farmers markets and grocery stores, and spend most of the day in the kitchen, making b’fast items, packing school lunches, helping prep after school snacks, and cooking family dinners.  The kitchen will be your domain, and you will be expected to stay after dinner to clean up so that everything is in perfect order for the next day.   Pay is $25-$30/hour.  The family has a dog and a cat, so this is not a job for someone with pet allergies.  Dad is Scandinavian, and Mom is German, so some knowledge of Scandinavian or German food is a plus.  This is a wonderful hybrid position that is perfect for a home cook who loves children and loves to be busy.  Please let us know if you are interested.  Thank you!

Cool Brentwood Family is looking for a great drop-off Chef.  This is a couple with two very young children.  They would love to have dinner served 2-3 nights per week (ideally Monday/Thursday OR Monday/Wed/Sat), plus have additional meals (soups, salads, baby food, other dinners) left behind to get them through the days you aren’t cooking on site.  They are hoping for 6-8 meals on the 2-night option, or 8-10 meals for the 3-night option.  There are no dietary restrictions, so this is a wonderful job for a creative Chef! Darling Mom with three children is looking for a temp chef September 28th through 30th and again October 3rd through the 7th. Candidates must be available for ALL DATES (9/28, 9/29, 9/30, 10/3, 10/4, 10/5, 10/6 & 10/7) to be considered. The hours are 11am to 7pm and you will be expected to cook & serve both lunch and dinner. The children range in age from 5-9, plus there’s Mom and two Nannies who are fed. There are occasionally guests as well. The family eats very nutritious food — all gluten free and some dairy free — limited sugars and no packaged food. There are different meals served to the children than to the adults because the kiddos love pasta, rice & meat and Mom doesn’t.
