Our client is a lovely family in Santa Monica with two children (a 9-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl) plus one adorable small dog. Mom works from home, and their longtime nanny is currently recovering from foot surgery. They are seeking a kind, reliable helper to step in for the next 2–3 months, with the possibility of extending longer.

The schedule is every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:30 PM – 7:30 PM.

Responsibilities include family laundry, driving the children as needed (mileage reimbursed), prepping after-school snacks, tidying and light day-to-day household maintenance and being a helpful second set of a hands in a busy home!

A housekeeper comes once a week for deep cleaning, but Mom would truly appreciate help with everyday upkeep.

Ideal candidates will have a clean driving record, experience with elementary-aged kiddos and excellent references!

Compensation: Up to $35 hour net, DOE.

Two dads are having their baby boy in February and want a full charge person that will help with absolutely everything!!! They are first time parents so they want someone with experience that will help teach them but they do not want to out source parenting. The house is small so doing some cooking and some cleaning is important so that they can be parents! They live in West Hollywood so it would be great if you live somewhat near. Our very busy client with three children is looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive Family Assistant to join their household. The position is part-time with one of two possible schedules: Either:

Morning Shift (6:00 AM – 11:00 AM):
Help get two of the three children off to school, prepare a healthy breakfast, and provide loving care for the baby while the parents and nanny are taking the kids to school. Help tidy up, help organize, and clean up the kitchen after breakfast.

Afternoon Shift (3:00 PM – 8:00 PM):

Job Description from the client!!!

8 AM – 6PM (might change by 30 minutes to an hour on either end i.e. 8:30AM-6:30PM)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

HOUSE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
-grocery shopping
-prepare dinner for children and family to snacks and lunch as needed for kids
-meal plan for the week with Pamela
-keep house tidy (including sweeping, keeping surface dust free, vacuuming, tidying up, taking out the garbage, cleaning up the kitchen etc.)
-manage cleaners that will come 1-2x a week for deep cleaning of bathrooms kitchen etc and hard to reach surfaces like moldings light fixtures etc.
-do laundry for household (children and parents)
-iron as needed
-clean bedsheets and towels weekly
-run errands as needed – dry cleaner, pharmacy etc.
-wait for deliveries and or maintenance people that need supervision (HVAC etc)
-special projects as needed (i.e. organizing closets, toys etc.)

CHILDCARE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-children attend school all day
-Oscar 8:30AM – 2:45PM
-Eva 8:15AM – 3PM
– manage children and their schedules after school
-children attend two different schools – pickup will be coordinated with Pamela and or activities will be coordinated so it is feasible to pick up both children after school as needed.
– bathe children
– host and coordinate playdates as needed

QUALITIES LOOKING FOR:

-friendly (interested in making connections with other caregivers in the neighbor to coordinate playdates, park get togethers)
