This position works 12pm to 8pm Monday-Friday, or if you prefer Monday- Thursday. The earlier hours are used for admin. work such as finding cool camps, setting up playdates, running errands and etc. … — and then you’re with your charge from 3:00pm ish onwards. Some days you may not be needed until school is out, but you will always be paid with a 40-hour a week guarantee. Experience working with a bipolar or autistic child is a must. You will be replacing a Nanny who has been with the family for close to four years, leaving HUGE shoes to fill. There’s a good deal of medication management so familiarity with is necessary as well. We are looking for a Nanny with a super high EQ who can handle a lovely but challenging teenager who is on the spectrum. We want someone who has experience with being firm and yet loving. There’s also a social component to the position. This is a child who doesn’t easily make friends so applicants should be comfortable inserting themselves with the school and neighborhood Moms in order to facilitate playdates.
