Lovely family in Bel Air with two children, ages 13 (boy) & 11 (girl) seeks a full-time Manny or Nanny. The primary role of the position is to look after the 13 year old boy who has a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome and ADHD. He’s a complicated & awesome guy! He’s in a mainstream school and is extremely bright but requires the help of two tutors, some medication and many therapists. He has a GREAT family and Mom & Dad worry that his easy-to-ignore little sister is getting short-changed as far as their attention goes. The idea is to hire someone special for their super special son. They would LOVE for him to be involved in sports or out bike riding but they have a really hard time motivating him to do any physical activity — so a sporty or outdoorsy Manny or Nanny would ideal. He’s a big tech guy who can build a computer from scratch, but they don’t want him to be addicted to screens. He’s also interested in community gardening and volunteering, but Mom/Dad haven’t had the time or energy to facilitate those interests on a regular basis and they’d like help on that front as well.

Mom and Dad would love to get out every once in a while for dinner and they like to travel every now and again on their own, so their ideal candidate will be flexible to stay late and stay overnight on occasion. Hopefully candidates like to travel too as they own a great home out of state that they regularly visit with the kids. Weekends have been especially tricky so ideally, we can find a Manny or Nanny willing to work Saturday, Sunday plus three days during the week. If a weekend off is required — the family will accommodate. So long as there’s reciprocal flexibility — everything can be worked out.
