Our client is a warm, inclusive single Mom looking for a nurturing and confident nanny to help care for her baby. She’s a first-time mom, single by choice, and is looking for someone who feels like family and is present and involved their our day-to-day life.
They are looking for a nanny who can grow with them as their needs evolve. Mom’s professional life is flexible for now, and she’s primarily working from home, so she’ll be around but would love a nanny who can handle things independently and confidently.
Responsibilities:
• Care for the baby with attention to their developmental milestones.
• Support and create a nurturing, educational environment (reading, singing, arts to crafts, nature walks).
• Prepare nutritious, whole food meals for the baby, adhering to a no-processed food philosophy.
• Assist with light housekeeping related to the baby (bottle cleaning, laundry).
• Be water-safe and supervise near the pool (safety is a priority).
• Follow the family calendar for appointments, including doctor’s visits.
• Build a strong, trusting relationship with the family while respecting boundaries and maintaining open communication.
Ideal Candidate:
• Experience: 10 plus years with families, including caring for infants. References from past families and a strong reputation are a must.
• Personality: Warm, confident, communicative, and emotionally intelligent. You should be someone who can engage with the baby in a meaningful way and support Mom’s vision for her child’s upbringing.
• Skills: Comfortable with basic technology (texting, emails, iPhone calendar management). You should be able to independently follow the family’s schedule and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility: We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, and open to traveling if needed. Ability to adjust hours as the baby grows – starting at 7 am to 7 pm, transitioning to 8 am to 6 pm after 6 months.
• Fit: We’re searching for someone who is comfortable fitting into our family dynamic. This is not a transactional role – we want someone who can become a trusted part of our family and contribute positively to our home.
Additional Details:
• Must be comfortable with 3 dogs (two medium and one large)
• Compensation: $40-$45 per hour or up to $150,000 annually depending on experience. Health insurance is provided through the family’s office.
• Schedule: Initial schedule may be 7 am – 7 pm, with a possibility of live-in until 6 months, after which the schedule will adjust.
What We Don’t Want:
• Someone who is overly focused on impressing or proving themselves – we value authenticity.
• Must be secure and not need excessive micro-management.
• No “know-it-alls.” We want someone who is willing to learn from experience but also trusts that we’ll have input as parents.
• If you think you’re the right fit and would love to be a part of a close-knit family, we would love to hear from you.
