We have a lovely woman in Santa Monica who would love a friendly and kind caregiver. It would be amazing if you are a dog lover and could take this woman to the park and help her walk her dog and help with errands. The woman lives with her husband and has a son that lives close by as well. It would be helpful if you can make the woman a snack and be like a friend to her. She loves to play checkers. The family is looking for 6 hours per day and is flexible to 10 a.m. 11a.m. start time. Rate is $40 per hour.

Our wonderful client is in need for compassionate, patient, kind and interesting to talk to caregivers. He lives in his adult daughter’s back house to be close to family. However the daughter is a busy working professional, as is her husband, and kids are busy in school.

So we are looking to fill day shifts during the week and weekend, to get Grandpa the love and care he deserves!

The shifts will start with 8 hours a day, but could increase to 10-12 hours a day as his dementia gets harder. Please let us know which days you are able to work.

The family also has a large, friendly, dog so please be comfortable with a busy family environment as Grandpa does go to the main house for meals and family time.

We would love to find someone that enjoys playing board games, taking Grandpa out to interesting lunches, being able to take notes at a doctor’s appointment, make him simple and healthy meals, tidy up the back house and be a responsible, reliable caregiver the whole family can count on.

Our client is moving to a gorgeous senior community in the heart of Pasadena mid-August. She is in her late 70’s and is very independent, but is experiencing some short-term memory issues. Her two adult daughters would like to find a wonderful companion who can work approximately 20 hours per week, M-F. They are thinking 3:00pm-7:00pm though it could be earlier hours in the day on occasion. Duties include things such as bill pay, communicating with doctors, running errands, meal prep, organization, driving, companionship, medication management, encouraging her to eat and getting her out and about. There are two cats underfoot, so if you are allergic — please be warned! Our client can become frustrated irritable so awareness of this disease and how it functions matters. The ideal match is a lively and loving caregiver who is smart, quick and fun, and has experience interacting with someone who has dementia.
