Our wonderful client is in need for compassionate, patient, kind and interesting to talk to caregivers. He lives in his adult daughter’s back house to be close to family. However the daughter is a busy working professional, as is her husband, and kids are busy in school.

So we are looking to fill day shifts during the week and weekend, to get Grandpa the love and care he deserves!

The shifts will start with 8 hours a day, but could increase to 10-12 hours a day as his dementia gets harder. Please let us know which days you are able to work.

The family also has a large, friendly, dog so please be comfortable with a busy family environment as Grandpa does go to the main house for meals and family time.

We would love to find someone that enjoys playing board games, taking Grandpa out to interesting lunches, being able to take notes at a doctor’s appointment, make him simple and healthy meals, tidy up the back house and be a responsible, reliable caregiver the whole family can count on.

Our client is moving to a gorgeous senior community in the heart of Pasadena mid-August. She is in her late 70’s and is very independent, but is experiencing some short-term memory issues. Her two adult daughters would like to find a wonderful companion who can work approximately 20 hours per week, M-F. They are thinking 3:00pm-7:00pm though it could be earlier hours in the day on occasion. Duties include things such as bill pay, communicating with doctors, running errands, meal prep, organization, driving, companionship, medication management, encouraging her to eat and getting her out and about. There are two cats underfoot, so if you are allergic — please be warned! Our client can become frustrated irritable so awareness of this disease and how it functions matters. The ideal match is a lively and loving caregiver who is smart, quick and fun, and has experience interacting with someone who has dementia. We are helping a terrific Lady on the West side find an experienced Companion who can work the entire weekend, Friday 7pm- Monday 7pm, you will live in during your shifts.

Our client has Parkinson’s, anxiety and minimal cognitive impairment. She is surrounded by a loving family and lives as normal a life as possible given her recent decline in health. She enjoys watching good television, good conversation, and most of all — her family. She can still take care of herself (no help is needed to shower etc … ), but she likes to have someone by her side most of the time. Duties are basic companionship, medication management, and light cooking. She is still cautious when it comes to Covid, so it’s important that applicants are fully vaccinated and boosted.

We have a lovely client in Brentwood whose Caregiver had to go to Europe to look after a family member. She will be away for another week or two so they are hoping to find a wonderful caregiver who can cover while she is away. This is a M-F job working with a lady who has Alzheimer’s. The typical hours are M-F from 9am to 4pm ish. Duties are preparing meals, doing laundry — checking in — going to Dr. appointments and basically making sure she’s safe and happy. Her husband and adult children are also on hand to help. This should be about 35 hours a week starting immediately and working until the regular Caregiver is back, which may be anywhere fro one to three weeks.
