She has come to rely on her main caregiver that we placed (so we know it is a good job!) and it’s hard for her to ask for more help but her family thinks she really needs it. Medically she’s in good shape for her age, hard of hearing and many trips to the bathroom at night – but mentally very sharp. She is more senile than before, so we need someone patient! We are looking for a kind and experienced caregiver to help Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 10pm-8am.

Kind and strong caregivers needed for around the clock care starting today for an incredible gentleman who is returning home from the hospital. He had a terrible fall and dislocated his shoulder as well as breaking his hip so this will be a long road to recovery. For the time being, he will need about 6 weeks – 2 months of 24/7 care including everything from administrating medication to feeding to bathing and fixing a cup of tea.

He is a loved fixture of the neighborhood often hosting as many as 20 people on his porch for afternoon drinks and storytelling. He has seen it all and has the most interesting life that you will get to be a part of. This gentleman has 2 dogs and 1 cat so you should love animals.

The client is paying $20/hour.

We are looking for a companion for a generous and lovely elder CEO in Manhattan. The position is 24/6 live in (you can stay at the house on your day off.) You will be responsible for accompanying the principal to appointments, meetings and lunches. You will also be the liason between his family and the doctors (he is not sick but does need someone to monitor medication.) You will also need to be able to carry him from bed to wheelchair.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience working for elder clients and understand the dynamics of working for someone in their 90s.

We are looking for 2 CNA’s to help a 92 year old Lady who recently broke her hip and arm.  This is an independent and sophisticated woman who was living on her own until her accident.  She recently had surgery and is in an acute rehab facility. She’s making progress, but it’s slow.  When she’s released from the rehab facility, she will be moving in with her daughter in Hancock Park and will require around the clock care.  We are looking for one CNA to do the 7:00am to 7:00pm shift and a second CNA to do the night shift from 7:00pm to 7:00am.  APPLICANTS MUST HAVE VALID CNA LICENSES to be considered for either position.

A very special client broke his knee and needs short-term help in Malibu starting Sunday 9/9 or Monday 9/10. The hours of need will be in the morning for 2-3 hours and again in the evening for 2-3 hours for about two weeks. He lives in a wonderful home where there is a lot of extra help (nursing and people to help him in and out of the chair). The hours will be during the week from 8 till 4.
You will take him to the doctor, read to him, and communicate with the family, take him to the grocery, to the museum, anywhere to keep him occupied, stimulated, and happy. He is a book collector and is very interesting; if you are a kind, empathetic person, this is the perfect job for you. Could be a wonderful job for a widow, or a retiree.
