Her family is finding that she needs more help than before so they are looking for a companion who can do activities, keep her on a schedule, help her get dressed, read with her, help her operate her iPhone/iPad and the television etc … She is very hard of hearing, so the ideal candidate properly enunciates and can speak loudly. One of our FAVORITE favorite favorite clients needs help in the Valley. Her parents are about 80 and Mom just had hip replacement surgery. Mom/Dad are not used to having help and need a Jane of all trades with a high EQ who can work 8-10 hours per day, six days a week for the next 3-4 weeks at minimum. Dad has been cooking/cleaning and running errands and it’s just too much. He is the “nicest man in the world” and Mom is lovely, but cranky right now post surgery. Mom would never want to accept help getting to/from the bathroom etc … but will accept help in the errand running/house management/cleaning/cooking department. We are looking for a capable helper who can change sheets, do laundry, run errands, cook & help in any way needed. Whomever this is should know when to give Mom/Dad their space by finding something to keep herself busy and out of the way.
