Our client is a bi-coastal couple who live in LA around 70 days of the year. They would like to find a Butler with extensive serving experience for a front of the house service, maitre d, table setting, polishing silver, service service service type role. When the family is in residence, the Butler will be expected to work long hours, including weekends and holidays. When the family is not in residence, Butler will have a M-F schedule and will help with house assistant to house manager duties. Malibu House Manager Personal Assistant Needed

Warm family in Malibu is seeking a full-time house manager personal assistant to work out of their home in Malibu (Point Dume). Though there will be times when the candidate is required to start or finish later, the schedule will typically be 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. This role is based on-site at the 7,500 square foot home, which is set on an acre of land. There is no option to work remotely at this time.
 
Responsibilities will include; identifying and correcting maintenance issues in the home by engaging the appropriate contractors, managing landscapers and other external vendors, overseeing other staff which includes a housekeeper and nanny, assisting with scheduling booking meetings for the principal, party planning and organization (roughly 4 times per year), traveling with the family (less than 14 days per year), collecting financial information from various sources as requested by accountants bookkeepers, remotely managing three other properties (in Aspen, San Francisco, and Mammoth), helping family friends colleagues book time in the family’s homes and private clubs, assisting with travel arrangements when required, organizing basic maintenance and cleaning of the family’s vehicles, disposing of unneeded items via charity or eBay, and more.
 
Candidates should be positive, efficient, and solutions-focused, and superbly organized.  They should also be able to prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks and have experience of basic Excel Google sheets. The family have two young children and a dog, so the household is naturally less formal and candidates must enjoy being part of working around a family who, in turn, value an intimate, happy staff longevity. The family are offering the successful candidate a salary of $115k, commensurate with experience.

High profile celebrity client seeks long-term house manager and family assistant. The home is about to go through the second phase of an extensive remodel requiring a highly organized individual who can project-manage and keep the home-front running like a well-oiled machine. There’s a long-time Assistant, Nanny, Housekeeper and Contractor in place so please be a team-player! The home is not too large, but it’s busy! Candidates should be reasonably tech-savvy and comfortable troubleshooting computers, televisions, printers and the like — as well as using apps for security and to manage various smart-home features. There are two school-aged children in the home and while there are no direct childcare responsibilities — candidates should be kid-friendly and willing to help with kid-related coordination. The new hire will likely start in mid-September for two weeks of training with the person who will transition from this role but will stay on with the employer. Position requires flexibillity and travel!

• Managing relationship with contractors, landscapers, weekly outdoor maintenance teams including pool and gardeners
• Acting as a project manager for large scale remodels and renovations
• Monitoring efficiency and functionality of systems such as AV, Security, Internet, to misc tech such as TVs and house iPads
• Managing interior design change requests cleaning requests, as well as appliance maintenance and any requests from housekeepers for supplies, and requests from nanny for kid-related needs
• Interfacing with agencies like DWP or Spectrum should any maintenance issues arise
• Preparing home for family’s return from trips along with Nanny and housekeepers
• Managing any moves such as hiring movers, overseeing packing and unpacking, occasionally visiting the storage unit as needed
• Being at the home to greet any vendors or technicians, or other personnel to act as a face for the family home when needed
• Occasionally collecting things like dry cleaning, groceries, prescriptions, other misc. pick-ups on behalf of family
