Fabulous high profile family in Manhattan is looking for an Estate Manager with a strong Hospitality background.

This is a salaried management position that will work Monday through Friday, as well as weekends when there are events. The family’s main residence is in LA, so your work will ebb and flow (obviously much more hours when the family is in NYC-typically for Holidays and long weekends.)

Your primary duties are management of a large housekeeping staff, as well as handling all events that take place in the home. You should know formal service, and be very comfortable working with kitchen staff.

This is a boots on the ground position reporting/working with the main Estate Manager who is based in LA. There is also a property manager in the Hamptons you will be working with, and sometimes will need to assist when there is a large event at that property.

Our ideal candidate has hotel and/or estate experience, is hyper-organized, has an amazing sense of style (both clothing and interior), has good administrative skills, amazing boundaries, a keen eye for detail, and management experience.

Single Man in Westlake Village is looking for a Personal Assistant /House Manager Hybrid . Your greatest skills are organization, reliability, prioritizing, project management, and event planning. The schedule is 5 days a week… and probably one weekend day. Hours are approximately 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend day. Must be familiar with landscaping and remodels, construction etc. The energy in this house is calm, encouraging, and SUPER organized. The ideal candidate can make executive decisions, is a team player, and LOVES to work! You will need to get along with everyone as you will work alongside a wonderful house keeper, venders, and most importantly the owner’s guests. You need to be kind, honest, and have a high value of privacy. It is key that you are capable of planning large events or small dinner parties, can research the best estate vendors, manage home renovations, and can handle mundane day to day tasks like running errands. You will be the head of the house and will not need micromanaging. The principal is really looking for someone who LOVES to cook. You will be cooking dinner every night and possibly helping with dinner if there are guests. He would also like snacks and food in the fridge as well. Please be dog friendly! Client pays on the books and reimburses for health insurance. There is two weeks paid vacation, paid sick days, and paid holidays. You will be asked to work Thanksgiving and Passover.

Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years full time recent experience working as a House Manager. You should be able to manage a staff of 5+ employees, be able to put together House Manuals, filing systems and has a working knowledge of physical house systems including smart home systems.

Duties are overseeing the overall operation of the home, managing staff and vendors, heavy project management (landscape + home improvement), creating maintenance schedules, watching cost, liaising with other staff, and coordinating with the business manager. This list is illustrative, but not exhaustive. Candidates MUST be tech savvy and able to troubleshoot complicated AV equipment, internet issues, home theatre systems and smart home technology. Prior experience caring for/handling fine art, furniture and collectibles is a plus as is knowledge about fashion, as the EM will also help pack and source gifts. Event management is also an important component of the job, so hopefully applicants have planned a great party or two! We are ONLY considering applicants with MINIMUM five years experience as a House Manager. Bachelors degree preferred. When the family is in town, the EM works long hours — generally 12-hours on weekdays and the weekend. There will be some travel to DC & NYC as needed, though most of the mgmt. is done from afar.
