ROLE AND LOCATION: HR Manager of Family Office Los Angeles, CA
Full-time, Exempt position

SUMMARY:
A dynamic family is looking for an experienced HR manager to supervise the household staff and assist in the day-to-day operations of a private estate. Must commit to implementing and maintaining our core values. The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, detail-oriented and be able to anticipate Principals’ needs and provide exceptional service in a timely manner. Qualified candidates will work independently, wear multiple hats and be hands on in a dynamic environment. Must be flexible to shift priorities as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set the service standard for the hiring process through training and ongoing management of staff. Required to meet the service needs of the family and property.
• Keep accurate and confidential records of all staff, such as hiring, orientation, training/mentoring, annual reviews and terminations. 
• Manage all related financial matters including accounting, budgets and payroll for domestic staff.
• Provide weekly and/or monthly schedules for staff including time off forms for vacations, holidays and sick time requests.
• Weekly meetings with staff regarding task delegation, inspections of work.
• Act as a point of contact and gatekeeper for principals on all human resource matters – providing updates on team work and status of any concerns related to employee engagement, household activity, scheduled maintenance and current state of staff. 
• Maintain and update household manuals. 
• Order home office supplies and monitor inventory.
• Manage multiple payrolls
• Maintain a filing system for household needs (e.g. car registrations, maintenance contracts, warranties, contractor bids, etc.). 
• Work with, schedule, supervise and upkeep of maintenance schedules for household vendors: HVAC, electrician, plumbing, generator, well systems, etc. 
• Review and submit human resource related invoices for processing 
• Familiar with California labor laws and processing employee benefits
• Comfortable managing HR needs for Family’s Non Profit
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTER SKETCH:
• 4-Year degree from accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5-7+ years of relevant experience (bonus if you have experience working with Estate Staff or small hotel)
• Excellent Human resources experience and management skills.
• Clear understanding of employees that perform regular household mechanical systems, appliances, technology and routine maintenance practices of these systems.
• Possess superior organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent HR and project management skills.
• Positive attitude, team player, capable of working well with a vast array employees. 
• Technically savvy and Resourceful. Familiar with Internet research, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Calendar. 
• Comfortable with iPhone or Android, including texting, camera phone, and smartphone apps. 
• Able to multitask and prioritize well.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and perfect driving record.
• Legal to work in the United States.
• Able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal and credit check.

We are working with an amazing family in Beverly Hills who is looking for a new Estate Manager. This is a M-F position; however there will be times when things need to be tended to after hours or over the weekend. It’s a hybrid position which will include a good deal of assisting the Principal and his extended family. You will manage (hire/fire/train) a staff of around six in addition to vendors. The Estate Manager walks the property daily to see what needs to be done though all major construction is handled by a GC so it’s more about the smaller day-to-day issues versus overseeing renovations. There’s definitely a concierge component here — tending to the needs of the family when it comes to booking appointments & travel, scheduling, making reservations and helping when there are parties. This is a job for a candidate who likes to manage a lot of moving parts. We are looking for someone to work under the estate manager, but that can also work next to him. The family loves to entertain and have lavish parties. Your role is to make sure the guests and the principals are well attended to! You will be responsible for managing the day to day affairs of the guest residence. This home is primarily used for events and house guests. You will help manage the staff, the housekeepers, and make sure all the residences are up to snuff. Estate manager needed in the Hamptons

Fabulous high profile family in Manhattan is looking for an Estate Manager with a strong Hospitality background.

This is a salaried management position that will work Monday through Friday, as well as weekends when there are events. The family’s main residence is in LA, so your work will ebb and flow (obviously much more hours when the family is in NYC-typically for Holidays and long weekends.)

Your primary duties are management of a large housekeeping staff, as well as handling all events that take place in the home. You should know formal service, and be very comfortable working with kitchen staff.

This is a boots on the ground position reporting/working with the main Estate Manager who is based in LA. There is also a property manager in the Hamptons you will be working with, and sometimes will need to assist when there is a large event at that property.

Our ideal candidate has hotel and/or estate experience, is hyper-organized, has an amazing sense of style (both clothing and interior), has good administrative skills, amazing boundaries, a keen eye for detail, and management experience.
