A private family seeks to hire an experienced, detail-oriented, confident, and well-rounded Junior House Manager to support their private household’s daily operations. The successful candidate will provide in-person support to the members of the team and assist with day-to-day tasks to assure the household is running smoothly. This role will suit a smart highly organized proactive self-starter who can work calmly under pressure, and successfully tackle new and unfamiliar tasks. Must be a strong gatekeeper who understands privacy, can manage staff, knows smart home technology and can tactfully manage and build relationships.

Candidates must be able to work independently or with incredible oversight. Will report to the Chief of Staff. The environment is very causal and down to earth, but everyone understands how to remain professional and works with efficiency and a true service mentality. 

Ideal candidate is service oriented, positive, kind, grounded, calm, and brings a great attitude to work every day. There will be the need for travel to Florida on a regular basis for 3 or more days at a time.

The LA residence is approximately 16,000sqft. There are 2 additional properties in Newport Beach that need bi-monthly visits in order to keep them running smoothly. There are also an extensive Florida property and you’ll be working hand-in-hand with the staff there to ensure that all maintenance issues are being addressed in a timely fashion and to help oversee large scale projects.

The principals have three properties – La Quinta, Malibu and Bel Air where the estate manager will be based. They have truly exceptional staff who have been with them for decades and beyond! RESPECT is the secret ingredient in this home. Everyone is respectful and is respected and this MUST stay the same for anyone coming in. Team work is also a must. The perfect estate manager will be HANDS ON and willing to lend a hand whenever and wherever needed. The new estate manager must also LOVE and be comfortable around dogs. There are three; a mini poodle, a labradoodle and a wired fox terrier. This trio will look to you for a walk every day and you will be responsible for taking them to the vet. There are 5 cars and while the houseman washes them, the estate manager takes care of them and sometimes drives the principal to appointments and meetings. The estate manager who will work well in this home is one who can act as a maitre d and greet guests, be able to act as a butler and serve professionally, and have experience managing a home and staff. The estate manager does all the shopping for the house; cleaning products, even wine! We are looking for a clean cut, professional estate manager with at least 5 years of experience in a private home. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude and will make themselves available if a last minute VIP event comes up. There is no job too small or too big. You must regard your staff as your equal and be respectful and fair. This is such a good job! They will be incredibly discerning of candidates. The schedule is M-F from 7:00am-3:30pm, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays on occasion. We are looking for an employee who is willing to TRAVEL to the other homes anywhere from a couple of days at a time, for up to two weeks. We are looking for an experienced Estate Manager based in Los Angeles. Our client has homes in Santa Barbara and New York. Please do not apply if you can not spend time in these locations!
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 plus years recent full time experience working as a House Manager. You will be overseeing and maintaining all three properties to make sure the family is taken care of 7 days a week by managing the schedules with the staff. You will be responsible for not only the schedules,but also the training, the hiring, the vendors, as well as any events and renovations.
The client is looking for a polished, elegant candidate who can keep their homes running year round with a wonderful hospitality and can-do attitude. Kindness and humility is very important to this family!

Hospitality background is a bonus! We would love someone who has run a 5 star hotel, and understands the service industry. When the family is in town, they like to host events and small intimate dinners.

Schedule is M-F, 9-7p with flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed for events.
