We would love to find a wonderful housekeeper to work for a very sweet couple in Malibu (near Trancas). She is a writer and would love a quiet, organized ocd cleaner! There have a sweet doggy so please love dogs. This is two full days of cleaning and some light laundry. There is not a lot of ironing and no cooking. A family in Brentwood is seeking another Housekeeper to join their team. Their home is about 9k square feet and is moderately formal. The schedule is full time with weekends. Housekeeper will have two consecutive weekdays off. (Alternatively, the schedule could be Sunday through Wednesday or Thursday.) Duties are full-charge housekeeping and laundry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, discreet, professional and is a team player — willing to do whatever is needed to help out in a busy house, and is knowledgable with caring for antiques, art silver, crystal and etc. Must also be comfortable helping with entertaining, and helping with dogs and children as needed (the children are older). Please have your own car and be able to drive and run errands. Travel to other homes at times may be required.

This is a household in which flexibility and teamwork are appreciated so the ideal candidate is one who is accustomed to wearing many hats and is happy and confident with helping in other areas beyond cleaning. The housekeepers currently tag team with Mom and the Nanny and everyone chips in wherever and whenever needed. Must pass background check, clean driving record, and sign an NDA.

Compensation: competitive hourly pay, depending on experience, paid time off and health insurance.

Our clients travel often and when that happens the housekeeper will need to manage any work done on the property and meeting vendors there. This is a job for an experienced housekeeper with at least 3-5 years in a private home. There is deep cleaning, maintenance, some laundry, organizing projects and making sure that everything is working properly on the property. If you love dogs, you’re in luck because this couple has the world’s greatest dog, a small Australian Shepherd mix! He’s everyone’s favorite dog. Essential functions of the job may include:
Ability to identify and properly care for different types of fabrics.
Ability to employ appropriate cleaning and care for multiple types of garments and linens, including high-end textiles and luxury garments.
Strong organizational skills for drawers, closets, and storage systems.
Ability to listen well and adapt.
Knowledge of sewing mending a plus.

Daily tasks will include:
Washing, folding, and ironing multiple types of household laundry.
Operation of washers, irons, steamers, and other appropriate equipment.
Returning clothes and linens to the appropriate place in the home.
Organizing drawers and closets. Maintaining proper storage of garments and linens.
Packing and unpacking travel cases.
Sorting and sending out linens and clothing to dry cleaners, and maintaining an inventory of items sent and received.

Minimum job requirements:
At least 1-2 years’ experience as a laundress in a private home (or equivalent role).
Prefer 3-5 years in similar employment with professional references.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
