Job Title: Laundress Housekeeper Location: West Hollywood
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday -Friday (11:30am – 7:30pm) with flexibility to work weekends as needed.
Salary: $45 hour, depending on experience
Job Description:
A private couple in West Hollywood is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laundress Housekeeper to join their household team with a long-term intent. This position involves spending approximately 75% of the time on laundry duties and 25% on general housekeeping tasks, with a strong emphasis on the care of couture clothing, materials, and collections. The ideal candidate must also enjoy working with a team.
Responsibilities:
Laundress (75%):
• Expert care of high-end and couture clothing, linens, and other delicate fabrics.
• Washing, drying, and ironing with meticulous attention to detail.
• Organizing and managing a detailed laundry schedule.
• Detailed closet organization
• Maintain detailed tracking of all dry-cleaned items
• Maintaining the pristine condition of laundry equipment.
• Folding and properly storing all laundered items.
• Handling couture and delicate fabrics with exceptional care, ensuring they are preserved in
their best condition.
Housekeeping (25%):
• Dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors with attention to delicate surfaces.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of living spaces, using hypoallergenic products
suitable for principals with allergies.
• Caring for and maintaining the couple’s collections, ensuring they are dust-free and in
excellent condition.
• Limited serving experience.
• Assisting with any additional household staff as needed.
Requirements:
• Extensive experience as a Laundress Housekeeper in private households.
• Proven expertise in caring for couture and high-end clothing.
• Deep knowledge of laundry and cleaning procedures for high-value items.
• Ability to handle and maintain delicate and expensive fabrics and materials.
• Experience working in environments that require the use of hypoallergenic cleaning
products and techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of
cleanliness.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Discreet, reliable, and trustworthy with a positive attitude.
