Help Needed for Wonderful Palisades Family

Our super special client has two little boys (ages 3 to 6) and a baby girl due mid August! They are looking to fill two Nanny vacancies:

The first Nanny will start as early as 6:00am (or 6:45am) and work until 2 2:45pm or occasionally later. Duties involve helping to get the kiddos out of the house, looking after the baby, helping the full-time housekeeper, assisting with food prep, running errands and more!

The second shift typically starts at around 10:45am and works through the evening, often until 7pm or later if parents are going out. This Nanny will be the homework helper and will be more focused on the hands-on childcare — driving to activities, helping with school readiness and etc … We would love to find a Nanny with a child development background or a degree in early childhood education!! The later shift Nanny will work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule until February or March of ’25 when the Newborn Care Specialist leaves at which point, a weekend Nanny will be hired and this role will revert to M-F.

Both roles require some flexibility. Candidates must be able to travel both domestically and internationally and should know how to swim. Familiarity with the Palisades is also a major plus.

We are looking for Nannies who enjoy working on a team, are loyal and loving and looking for a long-term forever family! Positions start around July 1st, 2024.

Job Description:
• Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
• Performing minor accounting duties or working with business managers and accountants if and when applicable.
• Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
• Answering phone calls and emails in a polite and professional manner
• Welcoming visitors when working in house and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate project
• Managing the calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters
• Book reservations for restaurants, appointments with personal trainers and wellness technicians, and keep a schedule of daily appointments.
• Sort and triage mail; maintain e-mail and other address directories
• Schedule and assist in hiring staff as needed
• Create a log of vendors to contact for proper care of furniture, finishes, or objects in homes
• Take inventory and supervise proper care of household inventory, personal wardrobe and accessories
• Transcribe source material from conferences, prepare documents for Blue Chip Foundation.
• Determine priority of matters of attention; redirect matters to staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate.
• Keep the teams advised of time-sensitive issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
• Routinely perform a wide variety of support duties.
• Handle printing, mail overnight packages, copying, filing, and email messages.
• Receive packages and local deliveries. When applicable, return items to stores or arrange pickup with couriers
• Manage ongoing projects at various homesites and work with the property managers there to ensure project completion and success.
• Work with plane management company to ensure plane is clean, stocked with proper refreshments and catering, and equipped with all bedding for travel
• Compose and prepare letters relating to routine correspondence for signature.
• Managing correspondence between owners and team when owners are away
• Help schedule necessary appointments for the dog and Pax as needed
• Create riders for protocol for events and operation of outside entities and people in home.

Requirements
• Ability to travel on occasion
• US citizen or work permit
• Working vehicle and insurance
• Must pass a background check
• Valid drivers license
• Previous job experience as an administrative, personal or executive assistant
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Arranging property repairs with current property managers
• Personal errands
• Ensuring owner requests are carried out.

Lovely client just built her dream home in the Malibu Colony, it’s modern and minimalist. She’s looking for an experienced, reliable and lovely housekeeper to keep their home clean and organized. You will also help with some pet care, feeding, walking and checking on her golden retriever who is elderly. Their children are grown up and no longer live at home, but do spend a lot of time here in the summers. The client is home a lot and does go in and out, so she’s around during the day. She likes to live a low key lifestyle.

Day to day responsibilities include deep cleaning, light ironing (linens go to dry cleaning,) food prep (cutting up veggies, etc.,) grocery shopping and some errands, organizing, and maintaining a home that is on the beach.

The hours will be ideally be Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 7:30am – 3:30pm. We would love to find someone that lives in West Valley, to keep the commute reasonable.
