We are searching for an experienced, wonderful houseman who takes initiative, is great with problem solving and who loves being of service. Our wonderful client is bi-coastal and has had their ‘West Coast’ houseman for over 20 years!!

Live in would be five days a week with two days off. However, when she is in town, they will be living in everyday she is here. She usually comes every six weeks and stays maximum 10 days. Arrangements can be made to allow paid time off or overtime after she leaves.

This is a great job for someone who knows how to organize their time, understands formal service, is flexible and has vast experience in hospitality and serving!

This is such an incredible opportunity to be part of a family and help with every aspect of this new baby’s life. You’ll help with all those magical stages of life and help mom along the way. This is a full time job M-F 8 or 9 hours a day – starting at around 9 am in the morning. Because you will be working with a new baby , there will be down time, so they would love it if you enjoy cooking! The family travels and is incredibly busy, so please be able to travel and possibly work on the week ends if needed. Please be open to staying over once in a while! The family wants someone that can handle 2 babies even thought there is another nanny in the h one that will be taking care of the 1 year old. Our wonderful client is bi-coastal and has had her ‘West Coast’ houseman for over a decade. He will be passing on the baton to someone who is willing to do it all and do it well!

When the principal is out of town, the houseman will be responsible for maintaining the property, keeping it clean, tending to repairs, meeting vendors, watering the indoor plants and keeping everything in tip top shape.
The houseman is expected on the property M-F but hours are light when the principal is out of town.

When she is in LA, the houseman is expected to LIVE-IN and wear more hats. The houseman will drive the principal, do the marketing, some light cooking, laundry and light ironing when needed. The houseman will keep the house clean and organized with everything working. When the principal entertains, the houseman will be expected to greet and serve guests if dining at home.

This is a great job for someone who knows how to organize their time, is flexible and has vast experience in hospitality and housekeeping.

The ideal days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00am to 5:00pm, plus either Tuesday or Saturday (same hours) for a total of 30 hours per week. The Gentleman recently had a fall and heart surgery and is now dependent on a walker. Otherwise, they are doing quite well, but would appreciate help with medication management, Dr. appointments, food prep, tidying (they have a small condo and employ a housekeeper once a week to handle the deep cleaning) and errands. There’s a car for on-the-job driving. The ideal candidate is vaccinated for Covid, lives relatively close to Brentwood, and is proactive with a great personality!
