Our client is a super cool single Mama who shares custody of her two boys; ages 6 to 9. She is looking for a Family Assistant who loves TRAVELING! The schedule alternates every other week. Week #1 is Fri Sat Sun Mon Tues with Wed Th OFF and week #2 is Sun Mon Tues Wed Th with Fri Sat OFF The hours are 1pm-9pm. Expect to travel two months a year — never for more than 2 weeks at a time. Pay is via payroll with health and dental insurance and paid time off (sick days, holidays, vacation days). Duties are driving the boys from school to activities and handling all sorts of kid-related tasks (calendaring, organizing etc.); however, the boys spend a good deal of time with their dad — so the assisting portion of this job is slightly larger than the childcare component is. Mom needs help staying organized! Please expect a mix of errands, organization, child to pet care (there’s a cute Australian shepherd), house management and more! The ideal candidate never says: “This is not my job!” There’s a full-time Housekeeper, but please don’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and pitch in if additional help is needed. This is a very important position. You are the voice and first person anyone interacts with on behalf of the designer owner. It is essential that you are polished, professional and appreciate great style. You are incredibly organized, take pride in anticipating needs, are tech savvy and generally love making things run smoothly.

You love managing calendars and are excited to handle both the business and personal calendars of our client. You have wonderful attention to detail and take pride in triple checking things. You will manage a couple email accounts and be on top of communication for your boss.

Your days will start just before 9am and end about 6pm at the office design studio in West Hollywood. You’ll be asked to run errands as needed and function as an essential liaison to all the details to manage your boss’ life. You might research a gorgeous holiday gift while planning a vacation, keeping his schedule going and preparing a document for a client’s new home.

Everyday is an adventure and we need someone who is excited to be apart of this special world. Ideally, you also speak a bit of Spanish but it is not a deal breaker if you do not.

Our client is offering $65,000 a year to start — when you prove yourself after a 3 month trial, you will earn a raise after 3 months to $70,000.

Benefits start after 90 days and include: sick days, PTO, health and dental, no vision. The office typically closes between Christmas and New Years which do not count from your PTO 🙂

Your schedule will be Monday-Friday, 11am-7pm, plus some occasional overtime hours as needed for a weekend birthday party or weekday date night.

You will start your day at the Brentwood home organizing, running errands and getting snacks ready. Around 2pm you’ll head over to pick up the kids from school and start the afternoon shuffle to sports practice, tutors, doctors appointments and more. You’ll end the day making sure sports uniforms are ready for the game and packed, any returns are in the car for the next day and doing a touch base with Mom.
