Malibu Couple seeking meticulous Housekeeper

Lovely client just built their dream home in the Malibu Colony, it’s modern and minimalist. They are looking for an experienced, reliable and lovely housekeeper to keep their home clean and organized. You will also help with some pet care, feeding, walking and checking on their golden retriever who is elderly. Their children are grown up and no longer live at home, but do spend a lot of time here in the summers. The client is home a lot and does go in and out, so she’s around during the day. She likes to live a low key lifestyle.

Day to day responsibilities include deep cleaning, light ironing (linens go to dry cleaning,) food prep (cutting up veggies, etc.,) grocery shopping and some errands, organizing, and maintaining a home that is on the beach.

The hours will be Monday-Friday, hours will be usually be 7:30am – 3:30pm. We would love to find someone that lives in West Valley, to keep the commute reasonable.

Please let us know if you are interested! The family is offering $40-45 an hour, DOE and paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick days.) For the right person, the family will also help with a health stipend.

With two kids in the home two weeks out of the month there is so much for you to do! Responsibilities will include indoor outdoor maintenance, running errands, meal prep, grocery shopping, deep cleaning, closet, and pantry organization, ordering household supplies, setting the table for dinner parties, flower arrangements, and you MUST have laundress skills. This family needs you to be flexible, you will work 35 hours a week and either a Saturday or Sunday twice a month for 4 hours. Schedule during the week is Monday Wednesday Friday 9:00-4:00, and Tuesday Thursday 12:00-8:00 pm. The perfect fit will have strong communication skills, self-driven, reliable, and trustworthy. • Communicating and scheduling with vendors
• Managing household bill payments
• Helping principal buy gifts for family, friends, teachers 
• Hiring and directing other household staff
• Helping to organize occasional parties and events
• Overseeing the maintenance of the interior of the home
• Managing designated projects
• Organizing the home office and other areas of the home
• Errands
• Handling special projects such as helping an employer with a renovation or researching major purchases
• Helping principal and children stay organized

Our client’s housekeeper is having twins, and we are looking for a wonderful Housekeeper who can start training in April and stay on to cover her until she returns from maternity leave in late summer. All told —this opening will last about three months, possibly longer. You will work a LOT of hours. The schedule on Monday and Tuesday is 7:00am to 10:00pm, Wednesday to Thursday are OFF, Saturday you work from 7:00am to 10pm, and Sundays are typically 7:00am to 5:00pm.
