Personal/Family Assistant needed for Creative Genius!

We are looking for the BEST Personal/Family assistant for a Creative Genius and their partner. We are looking for a true professional assistant who can wear many hats, and is always three steps ahead!

The couple does not have children, but have two dogs that are like their children! You will be responsible for picking up the dogs and driving to the office, driving the dogs to their upstate home and occasionally dog sitting when the principals are out of town. This is a main responsibility of the job which we think makes it a DREAM job for any dog lover! We are looking for someone who is flexible, and can occasionally work on weekends when the principals are upstate and hosting events.

There is a Chief of Staff in the office that will delegate duties to you, so you should be a team player and have an “all hands on deck”, “no job is too small or big” mentality. The client also has a long time housekeeper and chef, so you should work well in teams and be respectful of the other employers in the home. They are looking for someone who can join this team in a positive and loving environment!

Other things you will be asked to manage are: stocking NYC and upstate home with all necessary items (toiletries, occasionally food, linens, essential dog items, etc etc), manage two calendars, run local errands (dry cleaning, personal shopping, Duane Reade, Target etc), meet with vendors both in the city and the country, grab lunch and or coffee for the principals, research vendors for country home renovation, help plan trips and assist the Chief of Staff and office staff with anything they may need!

This is the most generous and lovely couple and they want to find someone who will become a part of their “tribe!” The client is looking to hire someone who understands the creative world, and can blend in when they host high profile guess.

Candidate must have a college degree, and have a minimum of 4 years recent full time experience working with High Profile, HNW clients. Must live in NYC and have a very deep understanding of the city. Must have valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record.

Schedule will typically be M-F, 930-730p. They will ask you to work weekends, and then you will get two days off during the week. If you are a clock watcher or want a strict/set schedule, this is not the job for you. They want to find someone who loves their job and doesn’t feel like helping host a party on a weekend feels like “work”.

·Act as a liaison between housekeeping team, personal assistant and the family.
·Calendar and schedule regular service appointments to ensure that all areas of the home and grounds are functioning at the highest level.
·Maintain and oversee the house security system.
·Oversee a Crestron based “smart home” system.
·Ensure various household errands are completed. No errand should be deemed as “too big” or “too small.”
·Oversee the care and maintenance of a second property in close proximity.
·Maintain an updated list of household contacts.
·Create and update a household manual.
·Manage household mail.
