Title: Chef
Work days: Primarily Monday – Friday, 12:00 noon – 9:00 pm, but hours will fluctuate as required by employee’s responsibilities and the family’s needs
Duties: Running the kitchen area of the house, doing all grocery shopping, cooking meals, cleaning up kitchen areas as appropriate, cooking for parties/guests, occasional travel to the residence in Aspen, and other requests consistent with the position of personal chef in the home
Direct Supervisor: Services Chief of Staff
Compensation Structure: Hourly, guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week, paid overtime when required, plus discretionary annual bonus
Compensation Amount: To be determined based upon qualifications and experience of candidate
Benefits: 100% premium coverage for the Medical/Dental/Vision coverage
Vacation, Sick Days, and Holidays: 10 PTO (Paid Time Off) days per calendar year. The family also observes the following paid holidays when they fall on a regularly scheduled workday: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas.
Driver’s License: Candidate shall at all times maintain a valid California driver’s license.
Confidentiality: As the family values its privacy, candidate will agree to execute a Confidentiality Agreement
Exclusivity: Sole job with no moonlighting
Travel: From time to time, may involve overnight travel outside the city of Los Angeles, including both domestic and international locations.
Preferred experience: 10 years plus of professional chef work in a restaurant environment, catering and/or in a private home setting
Education: Preference for credentialed degree from culinary school
