This is a hybrid role—part family assistant, part big-sister-camp-counselor nanny—and it’s perfect for someone upbeat, responsible, and looking for a warm, collaborative household.

Both parents work (dad travels weekly, mom every six weeks), so flexibility is important, including the ability to stay overnight occasionally when their travel overlaps. The family is incredibly kind and values someone who can be their “boots on the ground” during the week.

Duties include:
• Driving the girls (they attend school in Palos Verdes)
• Preparing kid-friendly dinners
• Sorting mail and keeping clutter in check
• Light laundry and organization
• Running errands and handling Amazon returns
• Packing unpacking for trips
• Managing the Google calendar and staying ahead of daily needs

The ideal candidate is a warm, proactive person with a “no job too big or small” attitude. Their current nanny—who has been with them for six years—is getting married and leaving a role she loved. You should be tech-savvy, organized, and someone who naturally thinks a few steps ahead. A detail-oriented approach and strong communication skills are essential.

Calling all seasoned, tech-savvy and organized Family Assistants who love teenagers! Mom and Dad are professional writers with three children ranging in age from 5 to 14. The youngest child has a dedicated Nanny who handles most of the children’s cooking, is able to travel with the family, and typically works M-F from 7:00am to 5:00pm. They are now looking to add a Family Assistant M-F from approximately 11:00am to 7:00pm, with some flexibility required. The FA will be more focused on the two older children, as well as the household logistics and all the moving pieces related to having three children who are going in different directions. This means coming with organizational strategies, managing calendars, liaising with vendors, scheduling maintenance, booking appointments, planning travel and so forth. Parents are not micro-managers and would welcome a mature, chill, pro-active self-starter who can establish best practices and has a no-job-too-big or small attitude. Your days will start at the family home in Beverly Hills. You’ll help with whatever projects or organizing is needed. Then you’ll drive the family SUV to pick up the girls from school (they are in elementary and middle school,) and then drive them to horseback riding lessons. There is a main home in Los Feliz and an apartment in NY. The family is on-the-road for about 2-3 months per year, often to NY or Marin County, but there’s a good chance they will travel to other places, including international destinations, so candidates should be passport ready. Nanny FA is expected to travel with the family about 50% of the time.

The responsibilities are truly hybrid. The older boy is in school from 9am to 4pm and Mom Dad do not work traditional hours — so they are often with the baby when they are home. Typical duties involve Nanny related duties such as driving, hands-on care, simple meal prep, organizing children’s activities and tidying the kids’ area, plus the assistant-based duties such as scheduling and overseeing repairs and contractors as needed, accepting deliveries, liaising with vendors, marketing errands, basic organization, keeping the house stocked and booking travel. This list is illustrative, but not exhaustive.

The family is amazing, busy, warm and kind! They basically need another adult to get them from A to B — but do not expect anyone to do work they aren’t doing themselves! There’s a lot going on so an extra set of hands is needed.

While both parents work from home, they respect the nanny’s role and do not interfere with established boundaries. 

 The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who is comfortable collaborating with the parents as they adjust to the new diagnosis.
