Some families just make you happy to work with, and this is one of them! We’re working with two brilliant, warm, very involved working parents who are looking for their own Chief Logistics Officer — someone spunky, proactive, organized, and genuinely happy to be part of the whole family picture.

Their daughter is 9 and in fourth grade, and their son is 5 and in kindergarten. The kids are well behaved, take the bus home from school, and have a nicely balanced schedule, so you won’t spend your afternoons living in the car. What they need is a wonderful extra set of hands who can help keep the household running smoothly while being a fun, engaged presence for the kids. This is a true hybrid role: part Family Assistant, part household manager, part after-school sidekick. If you love organizing the moving pieces of a busy home but can also happily switch gears to help with homework, hang out with the kids, get them where they need to go, or come up with something fun to do, keep reading!

Both parents are hands-on and love their kids, but Dad travels frequently and Mom’s career is expanding, so they need a trusted partner who can jump in, anticipate what needs doing, and make life easier for everyone. Think managing family logistics, keeping track of schedules and appointments, helping with errands and household organization, staying on top of the everyday details, and making sure the afternoon runs like a well-oiled machine. Mom loves to food prep on the weekends, but an extra hand with dinner would be wonderful. Light cooking is a plus, not a requirement.

The greatest hours of need are 2:30–7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the option to expand to 1:00–8:00 p.m. for someone looking for full-time hours. There’s a Nanny car available for work-related driving, and if you ever work late and would rather not head home, there’s even a private ADU behind the house where you can stay overnight.

Compensation is around $40 hour, with paid time off and overtime as applicable. The family is also open to discussing a healthcare stipend for the right person.

We’d love to find someone who enjoys making a household hum, likes children, and understands that being a great Family Assistant sometimes means taking care of the details and sometimes means putting everything down to be present with the kids.

A super busy, dynamic couple with two precious daughters, ages 8 and 5, is looking for an amazing Big Sister Camp Counselor to tag-team with Mom. The typical schedule is in the 12–7 8:00pm range, with the occasional date night.

The girls are artsy, sweet, playful and easy, and Mom works from home while Dad often travels for extended periods. Mom is NOT a great cook and would love some help with healthy meals. She is definitely not expecting a Chef, but someone who enjoys cooking and is happy to do some food prep would be a dream!

There’s also a cute dog who could use some TLC, so hopefully you’re a pet lover. We’re looking for someone happy and fun who can drive the girls, pitch in with house management and simple assisting, and has a “Yep, got it” mentality.

The loveliest Mar Vista family with two great kids, ages 8 and 10, is looking for a wonderful Family Assistant to help keep their busy household running smoothly. Mom and Dad both work from home, and they’re looking for someone who is proactive, organized and naturally sees what needs to be done without waiting to be asked.

The schedule is M-F from 10am to 6pm with flexibility to start and a bit later depending on what’s happening. They would love occasional weekend help as well.

This is a really varied role — part family assistant, part household support and part kid wrangler! The children are active and involved in sports and activities, so there will be plenty of driving, helping with homework and school-day logistics, and coming up with fun things to do when they’re off from school. There may also be occasional evening babysitting for date nights, including some weekends.

About 15–20% of the role is keeping the house tidy and organized. A separate cleaner handles the deep cleaning, so this is really about the day-to-day upkeep: laundry, dishes, straightening up, keeping things organized and making sure the house feels good and presentable. The family would love someone who genuinely enjoys a clean, organized home and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

They also have a very sweet Golden Retriever, so someone who enjoys dogs and is happy to help with walks, occasional dog sitting and house pet sitting when the family travels would be a huge plus.

There may also be some light meal prep or cooking, coordinating with household vendors, helping schedule repairs or gardeners, keeping supplies stocked and generally making sure all the little things that come with a busy family life don’t fall through the cracks.

The ideal person is a self-starter who is warm, energetic, organized and incredibly dependable. You should be comfortable juggling kids, a home and a constantly changing schedule, and you should genuinely enjoy being helpful. This family is looking for someone who will become a trusted part of their routine and who takes pride in knowing what needs to happen before anyone has to ask.

You must be legally authorized to work in the US and have a clean background, excellent professional references and a clean driving record. A reliable car is required, although the family can also provide a vehicle for driving the children.

The schedule is primarily weekday daytime hours, with occasional evening or weekend babysitting. Hours will be discussed with the family, and overtime will be paid when applicable.
