Executive housekeeper for Cheviot hills family

CLIENT OBJECTIVE:
To hire a professional and experienced Executive Housekeeper who is mature, organized, meticulous in their work and enjoys working in a busy family home. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently.
Residence and LOCATION:
• 4 bedroom 6 bathroom home in Cheviot Hills, Los Angeles, CA

QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTER SKETCH:
• Prior experience in a similar position with verifiable references.
• Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
• Hard working; meticulous and detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
• Discreet and respectful of principals’ privacy
• Long term intent.
• Able to communicate effectively and readily with the principals.
• Ability to run errands for family.
• Willing to perform any other duties as may be requested.
• Able to work legally in the United States.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license, with an acceptable driving record.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assume full responsibility for maintaining the orderly operation and cleanliness of the home.
• Perform a daily walk through of the home; note any issues and report to the principals and handle accordingly.
• Responsible for the general and specialty cleaning of the home.
• Preform daily graces; tend to kitchen, baths, and bedrooms first thing each day.
• Develop and maintain a schedule for project work and heavy cleaning.
• Weekly deep cleaning of kitchen, including major appliances.
• Oversee service providers and vendors; maintain an emergency contact list.
• Be helpful in managing home deliveries and household vendors.
• Organize and maintain all clothing, closets, and drawers; perform detailed cleaning as needed; seasonally change out wardrobes.
• Care for all household laundry; perform ironing, pressing, and steaming of garments and household linens.
• Change linens on beds weekly.
• Maintain a dry-cleaning log; prepare garments for pick-up and inspect upon return.
• Assist with packing unpacking and other travel needs as requested.
• Maintain sufficient inventories of cleaning supplies and household items.
• Keep kitchen organized.
• Assist with pet care.
• Empty trash and organize recycling.
COMPENSATION AND TERMS:
• Schedule is 40 hours per week.
• Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications, $45 to $55 per hour.
• Health insurance reimbursement of up to $1,000 per month.
• 2 weeks of employee-scheduled vacation per year, plus at least 1 week of additional vacation when family is traveling. Standard holidays off.
• Casual dress code.
