A polished, discrete chef is needed primarily for a residence in Beverly Hills and secondarily for a ranch in Carpinteria, with occasional travel to North Carolina (2-3 times a year for short trips). The family been a loyal employer over the years, and most employees who work for them, stay many years!
Location to Work Schedule:
• Primary Location: Beverly Hills residence
• Secondary Location: Ranch to Beach house in Carpinteria
• Typical Work Week:
o Friday to Saturday: Carpinteria (late breakfast lunch dinner for Mr. to Mrs. and any guests in residence)
o Sunday: Beverly Hills. The chef will purchase all groceries to fully stock the fridge, pantry, and kitchen islands. Serve dinner for Mr. to Mrs. and any guests in residence)
o Monday to Tuesday: Beverly Hills (late breakfast lunch dinner for Mr. to Mrs. and any guests in residence)
o Wednesday to Thursday: OFF, though days off may fluctuate based on family needs, and the chef must be prepared to accommodate changes in schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
• Beverly Hills: Serve late breakfast lunch dinner, typically for Mr., Mrs. with dinner served around 7 7:30 PM. Guests, including family and friends, may occasionally join for meals. If there are guests (5 or more), a housekeeper will assist during dinner service; otherwise, the chef will independently manage clean-up.
• Carpinteria: Prepare late breakfast lunch dinner at the ranch or beach house. Guests are frequent.
The chef will be responsible for meal planning, shopping, prepping, and cooking, focusing on fresh, clean, farm-to-table meals with simple proteins and vegetables. This is NOT a foodie family. The ability to adapt to changing meal sizes and guest numbers is essential. Additionally, the chef should feel comfortable hosting and preparing plated meals for larger dinner parties and events.
Skills to Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of full-time private chef experience
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing schedule (days off may vary week to week)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage the kitchen independently
• Culinary Arts training and experience
• Floor service experience and cocktail pairing sommelier skills are a plus
• Physical stamina, ability to work quickly, and excellent communication skills
• Experience in hosting and providing floor service for dinner parties and events is a big plus.
• Available to work some holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE for example.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times to protect the privacy and security of the principals and their guests.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a similar position within a high-end, private household or luxury hospitality environment
• Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the principals’ schedule.
• Excellent knowledge of etiquette, table service, and household practices
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and respectfully
• Discretion, professionalism, and respect for privacy
• Capability to work collaboratively as part of an established team
• Valid driver’s license and passport. A background check will be executed to references will be checked.
The family is offering a $140K salary DOE, $12K in benefits, and potential year-end bonus. Plus mileage reimbursement, and paid time off!
