Temporary Housekeeper Needed in Malibu Canyon to Start ASAP

We’re looking for a top-notch Housekeeper to fill in for our client’s full-time Housekeeper, who is currently out on leave. The need is immediate—ideally starting tomorrow or Monday at the latest. The duration is currently unknown; it could be a week or stretch into several months depending on how circumstances evolve.

This is a busy household of 7, including 5 young children. The family has a full team of Nannies who help with the children’s laundry and keeping things tidy, so your focus will be on deep cleaning and maintaining the household. No ironing required.

Details:

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Location: Malibu Canyon (home is on a hill — must be comfortable with stairs)
Rate: Around $40 hour DOE

We are helping a very busy family find a new executive housekeeper to add to their team. Knowledge of Jewish kosher homes is a huge plus! This family has 2 kitchens, one which is kosher. You will take one level of the home and your housekeeper partner takes the other level. You should know how to care for very fine furniture, clothing, all types of flooring, etc. This job is Monday-Friday, 830-530pm. You must live within 30 minutes of Newport Coast. There will also be house management duties – running errands, shopping, assisting however you are needed. There are 2 other housekeepers that you will also manage. You should have long-term references, a working car, US work authorization and references we can call. The Mrs is very involved in the home, so please be okay with a boss checking behind you to make sure everything is getting done! We are looking for a very experienced Housekeeper to work primarily at a beautiful property in Beverly Hills, and occasionally in Topanga. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from around 8:00 to 5:00pm; however, flexibility to work the occasional weekend or evening if there’s an event scheduled is essential. There are three Housekeepers total, so please enjoy working on a team! Duties run the gamut from housekeeping to running errands, to wrapping presents, to setting up for parties, and so forth. Some familiarity with setting tables and serving will be appreciated. Mileage is reimbursed if you are asked to travel between the two homes. We are looking for a wonderful warm and flexible nanny family assistant for a beautiful family with an 8 year old and 5 year old. Mom and Dad are extremely creative, they both work in the entertainment business. It’s important to them to find a loving, creative, active and organized nanny who can provide wonderful care for their children.

The hours will often be Monday-Friday, 11am-7pm. Though we do need someone who can be flexible and come early or stay late as needed. For example, if a child is home from school, they might need you to work 8am-5pm one day, or if the parents must be on set early, your day might start at 6am or 7am and end earlier.

Please have your passport ready as they often travel for work, and like to adventure on family vacations. They would love a nanny who is curious and will find great museums to go to with the kids, art classes, hikes, and all the best LA has to offer. Please be able to assist with basic homework, safely drive the kids around, grocery shop, meal prep and some cooking and be that proactive person who thinks ahead for what the family might need.

This family is kind, and the house is a happy one. We are looking for a nanny who will be a great match. Their last nanny was with them for years and we know firsthand they are great to work for. They do have a part time housekeeper who handles most of the laundry, but it would be great if you can help with the kid’s laundry as needed.

The family would like to offer $40 an hour and will help cover the cost of some of your health insurance, DOE. Of course they will also offer paid vacation, sick days and holidays. Please live in the east valley, or somewhere close to Pasadena to be considered, and have at least 5plus years of full time, recent, nanny experience in Los Angeles.

She lives in Thousand Oaks. She is Japanese and never learned how to make ramen from scratch, this is something she has always wanted to do, so ideally, the chef would teach her how to make vegetarian ramen (they don’t eat meat and also keep Kosher).

We are looking for a chef who can plan the meal, provide all the ingredients (which you’ll be reimbursed for), and bring any necessary equipment to make the meal (noodle pasta maker, pots, etc.). She has pots and pans, of course, but her daughter in law doesn’t want her to stress about whether she has the “right” one.
