Beautiful Mandeville Canyon Estate seeks Housekeeper to work on the week ends We would love to find a Housekeeper who likes to cook a bit for this wonderful family. You will work alongside another Housekeeper on the weekdays. Duties include all aspects of cleaning, laundry and some ironing. There is also driving errands to cooking. Candidates should be pet to child friendly and have 3-5 years working on staff with a high profile family. Pay is DOE (depending on experience) on the books, and health benefits are a possibility, as of yet TBD (to be determined). The ideal candidate is friendly yet quiet, good with children, obsessed with cleaning, likes to cook, is loyal and has experience in larger homes. A wonderful family has had one housekeeper for 30 years and another for 8 years (so loyal and lovely!!) is looking for a housekeeper to work Saturday and Sunday, This adult family has 5 doggies that mean the world to them – esp because their children have graduated college. The lady of the house loves to cook, so not only should you love doggies, but please enjoy prepping, setting a gorgeous table, and helping when needed. The family is lovely and the housekeeper should be wonderful with laundry, have a sunny attitude, and be a meticulous cleaner.
The hours are typically 10-6 or flexible if you need other hours. They would love someone that loves organizing! Their person is going back to the her country by the end of September so we have some time. They do dinners Sunday night at the house with their family. A plus would be if you like to cook!

They are open to two different options, depending on what works best for you:

Option 1: Afternoon Nanny (Part-Time) The schedule is approximately 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This role is ideal for someone who thrives during the after-school hours—helping with school pick-ups, snacks, homework, and driving to and from activities. If you’re energetic, organized, and love spending afternoons with school-aged children, this could be a great fit.

Option 2: Full-Time Nanny Cook The schedule is roughly 10:30 am to 6:30 pm (or 11:00 am to 7:00 pm). This role suits someone who enjoys both childcare and time in the kitchen. You’ll assist with the after-school routine, prepare simple and delicious family dinners (no need to be a professional chef, just enjoy cooking and following recipes), handle grocery shopping, and pack school lunches. You’ll be a true household partner helping the day run smoothly.

In both roles, the kids are active and may have different afternoon schedules, so flexibility and confidence driving are important. The parents would appreciate occasional weekend babysitting if you’re available. The primary focus is always on the children—their well-being, routines, and happiness come first. Compensation and benefits include payroll, paid time off, and for the full-time nanny cook role, a stipend toward health insurance.

Key points: you don’t need to manage the rest of the staff, you need to be positive and take pride in your work, and have good trouble shooting tinkering skills. Ideally you can drive the family in a pinch (infrequent, but being car savvy is helpful) and able to manage subs for minor repairs. The current hours are 7:30-3:30 Monday – Friday because of rush hour. You might start by cleaning the kitchen after the kids leave for breakfast and generally tidying up the downstairs area before moving outside.
