Both mom and dad are running companies and are looking for someone they can trust to run their life and their kids while they work. Mom even travels a lot so we need someone so responsible. First of all the kids (6 and 8 year old) are very “sporty spice” and need someone to shuttle them about after school, and keep them occupied and organized! The kids have a high EQ- would love someone that also understands that! The family is looking for someone with initiative and warmth and creativity
Schedule would be something like this: 11:30 and 7:30 with some flexibility.
From 11:30-2:30
You would be managing the house,
helping with organization,
handle the kids clothing (even sorting or getting rid of what they grow out of)
gifting
calendar
handle vendors

From 2:30 on
the kids go to different activities
oversee play dates
engage the kids and find some creative things to do
prepare dinner

Because mom travels a lot, it is important that you are very communicative, that you have a good driving record, and that you are a self starter!

Our clients are a warm, thoughtful family in Brentwood seeking an experienced, grounded nanny for their two children: a sparkly 2.5-year-old girl who truly wakes up dancing, and a sweet 6-month-old baby boy. The household also includes one beloved fur baby—a hypoallergenic Labradoodle.

Mom is currently taking time off from work, Dad often works from home, and there is a very involved extended family. This is a wonderful role for a nanny who enjoys tag-teaming with parents and family while also feeling confident working independently.

The family is hoping to find a nanny who prioritizes safety, calm, and emotional steadiness—rather than anxiety or strict discipline. They are relaxed, respectful parents who encourage their children to explore the world, and they are seeking a nanny whose energy and caregiving philosophy aligns with that approach.

The family has a second home in Ojai and would love a nanny who is open to traveling there (and potentially to other locations) with advance notice. Overnight travel would be compensated accordingly.

Mom and Dad are both employment attorneys and are extremely thoughtful and compliant employers.

Position Details:

• Competitive hourly pay, commensurate with experience
• Paid time off
• Health insurance stipend
• Guaranteed 30–35 hours per week to start with opportunity for additional hours, including occasional weekends if desired
• Beginning in early May (once the newborn care specialist transitions out), the role will increase to a minimum of 40 hours per week
