We have a very kind family who is looking for a summer housekeeper for their home in Sag Harbor. The dates will be early June – Labor Day. There is a M-F housekeeper who will be working alongside you. This position requires every Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus 2 other days each week. The Mrs is flexible on your days off during the week, unless she has an event that she would need help with. Please love kids as the grandkids are always visiting! You and the main housekeeper will be in charge of all housekeeping duties – laundry, linens, daily cleaning of the home, etc. Please be English speaking and a good team player! You should have references that we can call. This position is offering $900 week, all expenses covered – private bedroom, bathroom, food. This is not the perfect job for nannies who are used to being a full charge nanny as mom is home and wants to lead. This home has very professional boundaries, so please be okay with this. She is looking for someone with years of long-term experience, so you must have 4 plus year references on your resume. They are looking for someone who can do all things baby! Make fresh food, laundry, sanitize, research classes, tidy up, give input when requested, etc! Because mom is home a lot, there might be times she asks you to run to the store or help tidy up. There is a housekeeper, so no home cleaning is required. They also travel 3-4 weeks out of the year on international trips and would need you to travel with them. They just moved to Ridgewood, NJ from LA, so a nanny familiar with the area would be ideal! The parents work from home, so having a nanny who can navigate this would be helpful! They speak Spanish in the home, so a Spanish speaking nanny would be great! Duties include all things baby – baby food making, sanitizing toys, baby laundry, tidying up as needed, reading books, attending classes. etc. This family is super generous and really wants their nanny to feel like a part of the family!! They would also love someone who has a team player mentality – if the dishwasher needs unloading, you can help unload it. Please love dogs as they have an adorable one in their home! You will be responsible for family dinners M-F and sometimes lunches for the Mr. The kitchen will be your domain – you are solely in charge of restocking the kitchen, checking expiration dates, minimizing waste, prepping food on Friday so they have food on the weekends, cleaning the kitchen (the housekeeper leaves early, so you have full responsibility to keep the kitchen clean), shopping at Union Square, knowing all the farmers markets and best places for the freshest food…etc! You should love kids and be very kind and warm, as they have 3 kids and a small dog. There is a lot of time off in the summer, in exchange you might be asked to accompany them to Aspen for 2 weeks or work a weekend in Upstate, NY. There might be times that the nanny needs a break, so they will ask you to hold the baby..please be okay with this! When all the kids are in the home, mom might ask you to make a simple meal (baked chicken, pasta, soups etc).
